We stayed here for an overnight stop. The motel was very clean, our room was big and comfortable with a great shower and balcony. Wests diggers is very close for dinner, although non member rates for meals were quite dear. The motel had a nice looking pool and parking was easy. Area quiet. Would recommend a stay here.

Only ok. Nothing bad, just everything not great.
Poor wifi, hard bed, mediocre shower, thin walks so noisy. Annoyance at check-in asking for a physical CC which no one carries any longer.
Positives are good location walk to beach and restaurants/club.
For the price I’ll be looking elsewhere.

Only Okay

Older motel with helpful staff. Everything I experienced was only poor to ok. Nothing was bad, just everything could have been better.
Limited and poorly placed (over the sink) power points. Only okay shower, and aircon works, eventually. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. TV reception poor. Wifi is poor and unreliable. Paper thin walls and I think it was fully booked, so plenty of noise. Finally, usual annoyance of insisting on a physical CC at checkin in an age where no one carries them any longer (hotels, join the 21st century!).
The positives are good location, walk to restaurants, club, and beach for swim before breakfast, which you can do as checkout is 11am. But, wont stay here again.
2-3 Stars.

Unexpected Quality

This motel is a short stroll from the Nelson Bay RSL Club. It was very affordable yet was a good sized room, very well appointed, and very clean with very helpful service. I would stay again.
