Dream holiday
Next morning we met his partner Avalon who went through all of the breakfast options which included the most amazing home made muesli, really nice , not a fried breakfast but a welcome healthy change. We explored all of the filming locations on the beach and Rudi and Avalon dropped us off where we needed to be to get the best out of the area, the location of the B and B is about a ten minute walk , but it’s a hill and a half coming back ! The next night we were hit with the biggest storm the area had seen in decades and our Uber was capsized in the next town , coincidentally also called Avalon, the locals in the pizza restaurant called Cranzgots were so helpful and came to our rescue to get us home , such lovely people.
Our last day our hosts asked if we would like to take the tour of “the Bay” with them , in a vintage Bentley no less ! They showed us all around the area and some filming locations we wouldn’t have seen on foot, brilliant lovely people . After the storm the night before the Uber we had booked to take us back to the airport cancelled on us, but Rudi rang around a few locals and came to our rescue to get us there. Lovely old fashioned house with modern amenities, beautiful gardens and hand feeding birds , we were welcomed with open arms and departed with hugs! This was the final leg of our tour of Oz and both Rudi and Avalon exceeded our expectations and were such lovely hosts , if we ever came back we would love to stay again.

Fabulous stay at Palm Beach B&B.
It has everything you could need here & from the lovely hosts to the beautiful surroundings, we really enjoyed our stay here.
We were lucky enough to see a multitude of birds in the garden at breakfast being hand fed by Rudy, while Avalon made sure we had a delicious, plentiful breakfast.
Our room was clean & comfortable with a lovely big walk-in wardrobe, so we weren’t tripping over our cases. Our balcony was surrounded by trees & vegetation with more birds visiting our balcony while we enjoyed a glass of wine each evening.
The whole house is full of fascinating items, each with a story of its own.
It’s a steep hill down to Palm Beach itself, & from there you can walk to the Barrenjoey lighthouse which is well worth the walk. The views of 'Summer Bay' are fabulous from the top.
Home & Away will never be the same after visiting the location where it’s filmed, & the hosts have lots of interesting tales to tell about the TV soap too, I loved it.
Thank you Rudy & Avalon for making our two day stay very memorable.

A true gem up in Palm Beach - unforgettable!
Unfortunately, we were only here for one night with Rudi & Avalon and had the balcony room on the first floor with a view of the sea.
The room had a wonderfully comfortable bed, a great bathroom, and a fantastic breakfast with a view of the lovely garden. Of course, with the highlight: The morning feeding of the birds by Rudi. Simply unforgettable...
We had incredibly nice conversations here and felt like part of a family, not like guests in a hotel or B&B.
The great location with the magnificent view from our room of the sea rounded off our experience - we recommend everyone to book early and enjoy this special hospitality here.
