The Colonial is a lovely little hotel that i have stayed at a few times now. Room is huge and a nice place to come back to after a long day on your feet to relax. Walking distance to local take away or a short uber ride to town centre for pubs and restaurants.

Arrived tired. Refrigerator turned off, no kettle in room. No restaurant or bar available. Advised a short walk to hotel, no it was a long walk and I returned dry to the room. Drink driving laws so no driving. Food places a long walk - didn’t bother as we were very tired. A small packet of noodles between the 2 of us. Plastic plates and Red Rooster surplus bamboo knife and fork a nice touch to complement the KFC and Maccas nearby. Manager blamed room service for missing items - NO you are the Manager and it is your responsibility to check the “Deluxe Room”. It is under the flight path of Richmond RAAF base and next to a busy main road. The bed was large and comfortable.

Beautifully tidy. Warm and friendly staff. Superior rooms. And quiet.

As we approached the Colonial, the visual appeal, the tidiness, and freshness welcomed us. Inside and out the reception, the grounds, the rooms, the amenities were sparkling clean. Noyhing untidy. Nothing out of place. The lady in reception was friendly, obliging and accommodating (yes I know). The housekeeper was equally helpful. The rates were excellent. So good they attract a clientele. The other guests made easy conversation. We couldn't fault it. It is worth visiting Richmond just to stay at the Colonial Motel.

What a great place to stay. Saff were friendly, room so clean, with everything you could ask for. Would not atay anywhere elae in Richmond. Thanks
