Absolute Perfection
Where do I even begin! This place was pure heaven and the ultimate in relaxation. Perfect place for a romantic escape from reality!
We stayed in the Prince Charming Chalet which was down the back which was perfect as we had complete privacy.
Greatly enjoyed the spas. And enjoyed the little touches like the journals from past guests.
Walking distance to Twin Falls Circuit and short drive to Purlingbrook Falls Circuit. Spectacular!

The most magical stay possible
What a truly magical experience. Wonderful hosts, stunning chalets, outstanding scenery. Sorry was to train Falls entrance. Feels like you're own personal fairytale totally understand the chalet names they are very fitting. We stayed at Cinderella chalet and we will definitely be back. Simply stunning!!! Love the decorative touches to make it feel like your own place. Super comfy beds with an array of pillows. I honestly cannot fault our honeymoon in any way shape or form. Thankyou Wayne and Christine for an exceptional experience. Very highly recommend.

Amazing Cinderella
All I can say is wow, absolutely loved our 2-night stay in Cinderella celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary.!
Located amongst the rainforest in Springbrook, this setting is for total relaxation and romantic time with a loved one.
The chalet is equipped with a full kitchen and so make sure you take meals, snacks etc as there are no shops or restaurants nearby. I saw a previous review complaining about this and they felt that management should advise potential guests - that's not up to your accommodation to let you know this. Before booking anywhere, I always check restaurant and shop availability so that I can be prepared.
Cinderella was just amazing, clean, beautiful modern kitchen and bathroom also with an outdoor shower which was a surprise and it was just lovely having a steamy hot shower out in the cool night air.
We were situated right on the stream and with so much rain lately, it was really flowing rapidly. There were two areas on the outdoor deck to sit and enjoy the tranquil scenery, enjoy a glass of wine or read a book.
Cinderella also has a large outdoor undercover hot tub right at the creek edge, sitting in there watching the stream and chatting was an absolute highlight of our stay.
Wayne was welcoming and gave us all the information on our stay that was needed, quick and easy check-in and check-out.
I just could not find a fault at all with our stay and would highly recommend a romantic weekend away here, hopefully we will return again soon in the near future.

Disappointing - Previously loved but now a little lost
I’m really unsure of the rating on this one. We have decided to give 2 simply down to the price vs expectation. We stayed for 2 nights in “Bashful” as a U.K. Mother’s Day gift/travel/family getaway.
You can clearly see the potential this place has and how it has been previously loved, but it seems some of the love may have been lost a little. We paid a discounted price as they are currently undergoing renovations in their reception and main building (unsure if they are also going to be renovating their chalets), however the discounted price was still considerable.
Pros
- Beautiful chalets in a fantastic location
- Well presented on the face of it, high ceilings, lovely wood, great decor and well fit out
- Good choice of toiletries
- Beautiful views with Bashful being right next to the creek
- Well maintained and clean BBQ
- Great spa bath with a great view over the forest
- Comfortable bed
- Safe for valuables
- Basic cooking condiments provided (oil, salt, pepper)
- iPad provided for local information
- Useful pully trolleys provided for taking luggage to cabin
Cons
- Very dirty and dusty - on the face of it ok, cobwebs up high are acceptable as that’s the kind of place it is, but looking deeper there was mould and dust everywhere. We had to search for a plug in the bedroom and after looking under the bed we were horrified by the dust. Don’t see any need for curtains in a bathroom especially when it has frosted glass, but the back of them full of mould.
- Food hampers - we bought a breakfast and a dinner hamper. Not cheap but not extortionate, however the ingredients just felt, looked and tasted cheap. Great idea but definitely need to look at the quality of it. Quarter of an onion given? Come on guys, 1 full onion is not expensive. Small glass jars for jam instead of a packet for example would add to the luxe of the price
- Fly screens clearly not been cleaned for quite some time
- Rotting wood (understand this is a big job)
- HIGHCHAIR - Our biggest concern though was the condition of the babies highchair!! This was completely covered in black mould. We tried to scrub it down as best we could, covered it in towels and still felt awful to put our baby in there but we didn’t have anything else. I understand in a forest with high humidity there is going to be struggles with mould, but then surely this comes down to choosing the right equipment to avoid/limit the mould build up - I suggest an Ikea highchair instead of using fabric ones.
In summary, we can absolutely see that these guys have previously had a beautiful place in a beautiful part of the world. It just seems that either the love has been lost or the money isn’t there to spend on getting the place back up to scratch, albeit some of it simply just deep cleaning.
I hate leaving negative reviews but I think it’s also important to be constructive. Please consider the advice.

We would have loved the opportunity to address your concerns during your visit, as we are always happy to assist and ensure our guests have the best experience possible. The concerns you detail could have been rectified immediately had we been made aware of them at the time, prior to writing a review.
Regarding the highchair, we apologise for the oversight. It is rarely used, maybe 1-2 times a year and was storage. Unfortunately, our staff member forgot to check for issues prior to delivering it to your chalet. This human error has been addressed so hopefully it does not happen again.
In our defence, we have only recently endured a once-in 50 year cyclone which caused billions of dollars damage to SE Queensland. We believe we have done an exceptional and difficult job returning our rainforest and chalets back prior to the cyclone's damage. Your stay was only 3 weeks later. We continue to be fully committed to maintaining our 14 chalets to the highest standard, ensuring they are clean and well-kept despite the challenges of mould in a rainforest environment, particularly during summer and periods of high humidity. Dust accumulation is an ongoing challenge, especially with the fireplaces, which are an essential and beloved feature of our chalets. While removing them would reduce dust, we understand that the warmth and ambiance they provide are an integral part of our retreat experience.
Please be assured that we are consistently investing in our retreat, with a multi-million dollar development currently underway to enhance our facilities, including a new reception lodge with a lounge, bar, outdoor patio, and dining options for future guests. We also strive to keep our food hampers reasonably priced despite rising costs, and they generally receive positive feedback. While we aim to give guests a simple, easy option there is a balance between quality and affordability. We understand that preferences vary, and we’re always happy to accommodate special requests when possible—such as providing more onion if needed.
