Lovely!
What great value. Had a great time and very much enjoyed the comfort of home. Spotlessly clean. Every need catered for. Quiet location. Highly recommended and will definitely be back! An absolute credit to the owners.

Perfectly OK place to stay
Perfectly OK accommodation. Clean and well equipped. Quiet location. Very comfortable bed ( I like quite a firm bed). But it’s quite a way from the harbour, you need to drive. It’s an old pre-fab cottage and perhaps a bit run down in places.

Older home but large, clean and very well-equipped.
Older home but large, clean and very well-equipped. We were very grateful for the washing machine and laundry items. The only negative is some of the flyscreens on the windows were damaged and some did not have screens at all so we couldn't open the windows for fresh air. The house is on a quiet street and private, not too far from town and the local attractions.

Spacious and very basic
The positive is that this is on a very quiet street, the 2 bedroom Henty house is huge and spacious, and the beds and couches are very comfortable. It's a little run-down with wrinkly and broken linoleum on the floors and peeling paint on the dining room walls, and cobwebs and dirty floors in the toilet area.
I am sure the owner tries hard, but there was a stinginess with the amenities that was rather disappointing. There was no small milk in the fridge as stated, no soap for the shower, no dish detergent to wash the dishes, no laundry detergent as stated, and a quarter of a role of toiletpaper for the 3 nights. We notified the owner, who explained that she could not come down to rectify this and would send someone the next morning. We waited until 11 am, but then headed out and bought the supplies ourselves. We took a photo of this and sent it to the owner. There was no offer to reimburse us for having to buy our own soap and toilet paper and dish detergent, just an apology. Some supplies were left on our doorstep when we came home that evening.
All in all, it was one of the more basic places we've stayed at and not the best value for the money (Strahan is full of rather nice locations - consider your options). However, the large bedrooms, the quiet location, and the spaciousness of the house were really appreciated.

Old style accomadation
The cottage was comfortable but you felt very uncomfortable with the owner leaving signs all over the cottage that if you do this it will cost you one night accommodation if you scratch the stove top you will have to pay to replace it if you leave dishes you will be charge $25 there is a washing machine but no dryer no wifi I feel that she does not really want people to stay there only wants the accommodation money

So sorry that our accommodation did not meet your needs. As we have been "bitten before" with guests causing damage to our accommodation. After much thought we put the signs up after consulting with travellers, to find their views. Very sorry if this offended you. It was not meant to offend.
As far as wifi goes we are unable to supply wifi across three houses because of the logistics. We have consulted Telstra about this and the only solution was cost prohibitive, which would dramatically increase the cost of our accommodation.
As for a dryer we actually don't have a dryer ourselves so we have never considered them a possibility. We provide an outside line which will shortly be undercover and a clothes airer.
It would have been great if you had of contacted me direct with your concerns. We strive to offer fabulous accommodation at a reasonable price and value feedback.
