Roaches in bed

The hostel is a nice place for travellers, but one BIG problem i encounter while staying was roaches.
I stayed there for 2 nights, and every night i woke up feeling something crawling in my bed.
I told the reception after the first encounter. They proceeded to spray the room with some anti bug spray or something.
But then experiencing it the next night was uncomfortable to say the least.
So if you dont like bugs then stay away!

rude and hostile employees

chill spot by the beach, not social though. buses run infrequently which is inconvenient, but not the hostel’s fault. what is the hostel’s fault is the extremely rude woman they have working the front desk. check out is at 9:30 (very weird/early time), 5 min after a woman came in and told us to hurry up because the longer we took the later she had to work. weird, however she was not the main problem. she must have went and got her manager because about 10 min later myself and another guest were already MOVED OUT OF THE ROOM and had our stuff in the common room. The “manager” or whoever it was came in and yelled at us saying we had to get out now. i was in the middle of making breakfast and the other guest was organizing her stuff. it is basic hostel etiquette to be able to use the common area and facilities after check out as long as you are out of the room. This was all before 10am. The manager’s demeanor was extremely harsh and unnecessarily rude. She continued to belittle the other guests while I told her she was free to go clean the room while I finished making breakfast. Rushing guests to vacate the premises within just 30 minutes of checkout is extremely unprofessional, and the woman did it in a very hostile and disrespectful manner. If it is the hostel’s policy to not use common areas that’s fine, but there’s no reason to be so rude about it she could’ve told us politely. extremely unprofessional. i never feel the need to write bad reviews but this experience was so jarring i felt i had to.

Nice quiet stay!

Good place to stay if you are looking for a quiet stay in sunshine beach- it is a little bit far away from Noosa, 25 min walk- but buses are regular.
The room is small and has limited space for bags and no lockers to store anything.
Really nice to have a kitchen and living area separate to the other dorms. The kitchen was always clean and tidy and so was the bathroom.
Special shout out to Maz who works here! She does a great yoga class every mon- Fri morning!

DONT STAY HERE

On booking.com the twin room picture is the 1st one attached on this review, the 2nd is what we got! I asked for a blanked and told i have to pay a deposit as people steal them! The room was cold! I paid 320 dollars for a room with x2 bunk beds in that's 80 bucks per person for a dorm bed! rip off. I then went and am still going to booking.com as I am a genius member of booking.com and travel the world and this is by far the worst place I have ever stayed in. DONT BOOK THIS PLACE. I have also read reviews where other people have complained and the managers respond in the same manner they have just done to me, make excuses and try to reflect back to the customer that it was somewhat their problem the stay was so bad. Beyond terrible!

it can improve…

I regret to share that my experience at the hostel was not entirely positive. Despite the hostel's promising aspects, such as its location and ambiance, I encountered challenges during my stay. Cockroach sightings in both the bathroom and kitchen were disappointing, and, unfortunately, my attempts to address this concern with the staff were met with no resolution. Moreover, the manager's consistently rude attitude and unhelpful demeanor towards guests detracted from the overall experience. I hope this feedback can contribute to improvements in cleanliness and customer service.
