The staff were great. You have to order room service at the bar and then bring it up to you however which could be something to note. However, the staff are really friendly and overall was a good experience. The TV connection in the room was a bit glitchy a shame specially during World Cup.

Good pub

We came for dinner with friends, they also accept dogs on the terrace. Large and spacious venue. Classic pub food but also some Italian dishes, I had the gnocchi and they were good, especially the braised sauce. Very generous portions.

A gem so close to Sydney and Airport.

An amazing hotel, so close to the Railway & Metro for quick access to the city in minutes. A very well done refurbishment throughout the hotel with excellent seating opportunities for the Bistro and bar area. The food was incredible and deserves a 5 star rating for presentation, quality and price. My sister in law & I had the Pork Belly, the best either of us have ever eaten, plenty of meat, very little fat under the skin that was perfectly crackled.
We stayed for 1 evening and were amazed at the quality of the room. Definitely 5 star, very modern with an incredible bathroom and shower. A very clean and comfortable room. Amenities provided in the room were sufficient for an enjoyable & comfortable a stay.
Managers, Sarah and Alex were excellent hosts, very friendly, supportive and professional in their positions. All staff we interacted with at the bistro, bar and room services were very friendly and efficient in the roles.
I would highly recommend the hotel for dining and staying when needing to access Sydney and the airpot which is only 15 minutes away.

60 Years Between Visits

My brother & I would go with Dad to his work during the school holidays at least once a year, we loved it, Dad, I'm not too sure? But I do remember sitting in the beer garden at the General Gordon with a fire engine or similar, while he had a "business" meeting with his superior! The Pub has changed a lot over time, considering it burnt down & was rebuilt with the original facade saved. But today, super friendly staff, well priced & tasty meals plus $6.50 Schooners all day ($6 Happy Hour) for a Reschs! Best part is for plane watchers, depending on the prevailing winds you get aircraft low overhead where you can watch the Captain pick his nose, your so close! I don't think my next visit will be so far apart?

Friendly pub vibes

This place can get busy so if your wanting to enjoy a meal, best to book a table. The menu has Australian pub vibes and the quality is reasonable, pricing as to be expected a tad expensive. Reasonable range of beverages on option and pleased to see a range of dietary requirement options available (even a vegan dessert!). All staff we engaged with were very friendly.
