First Rate Customer Service

We weren't actually able to stay here, after booking and paying in full, as all trains to Warrnambool on the dates of travel were cancelled. Very disappointing, but we found the customer service to be exceptional. We dealt with Sarah, and she spent a lot of time and effort in tracking down our refund. It was an oversight on our part, not theirs, and Sarah was simply a joy to deal with. We hope to get there to stay in the near future as feel very sure we will have a great time, just based on Sarah's five star customer service.

Amazing food and the service was impeccable

We stopped at the Warrnambool hotel for dinner on a friday night. Without doubt one of the best places we have eaten in a long while. Proper old fashioned table service. None of the QR code rubbish and ordering from your phone. An actual person showed us to our seats and the same person looked after us all night. Explaining the specials, making recommendations,. taking our drinks order and offering advise on the superb cocktails and finally serving our meals and deserts. I wish I could remember the ladies name, i'm sorry. My only very very very small change I would make, is to have the bill delivered and paid at the table. Like it used to be. Not having to pay at the bar on the way out. At least that way when I leave a tip I know it'll go to the member of staff that earned it. Thank you for some amazing food and we will be returning every time we visit warnnambool.

Good pub

Dined there recently and the food was great. Excellent service. Really good staff. Centrally located. Great selection of wines. Nice atmosphere
Dining room was closed but we were able to eat in the bar area. Order at the bar and they bring the meal to your table. Half serves available too.

Art deco experience for an art deco guy

Stayed here for 3 nights recently and had a very comfortable room at a very reasonable price. I also ate in the restaurant the first evening and the food and the service were excellent. I was impressed at how seriously all the staff took the COVID rules by enforcing them and unlike some of the COVID naysayers in some of the reviews here , I was happy to comply.

Dinner at the Bistro

Absolutely disgusting the stuff and the food was horrible, I must say we where treated in a very rude manner.
My partner ordered a Wagyu Porterhouse steak which was $45 and it came out paper thin and over cooked and when I told the stuff about it they didn’t care at all, for that sort of money you would think it would be fantastic but no so sad to say I give this place a 0.
Matt was who I told about it and all he wanted was our money and that’s it, and waitress was Alexis and same thing with a very dirty look on her face.
Absolutely disgusting once again.
