Good pub grub

Stopped by for lunch during a quiet week day. Pleasant hotel in a beautiful bushland setting. Dining on the verandah at the back meant looking across at the craggy wall of sandstone. Good service, generous meals. Well maintained property.

Generous sized but average meal

A wonderful historic stone hotel spoiled by an appalling 1960s addition and looking in need of a little TLC. We ate on the deck looking towards the river and magnificent sandstone crags and thick bush - stunning! Our meal was a generous size but of average quality but very reasonably priced.

Great Hotel

The pub cuisine was excellant, Calamari and chips , fantastic, but even outside in the courtyard we were told we could bring our dog in, even on a leash,lucky for us the woman, don't know her role told us as we where leaving, why bother i thought, power trip perhaps, so not pet friendly, couldn't understand that, we where out in the open not inside and our pup was on a leash, anyway, far better that the st albans settlers inn, rubbish that place

Really good pub food

I was pleasantly surprised when we attended the hotel. I expected ‘normal’ pub food but this was much better by far. I had the Parmesan & Herb Crumbed Pork Cutlet which was well cooked, moist and tasty. My partner had the 150 Lashes Beer Battered Fish and Fries which was thoroughly enjoyed. The portions were also better than expected .

Quaint old hotel

My friend and I went to the Wiseman's Inn Hotel for a mid week lunch. The hotel is a historical building in Wiseman’s Ferry and some of the upstairs rooms are a museum of the original house with furniture, table settings, kitchen equipment and photographs. Worth a look although rather dusty.
The $15 lunch specials were full sized and tasty and were served quickly. The dining area was spacious with ample indoor and outdoor seating as they cater for large groups at weekends. The bar staff were friendly and pleasant.
The Wiseman's Inn Hotel was a pleasant spot for lunch after a long, winding drive in the country.
