The motel to stay at in Wonthaggi.

4.5 - Excellent location walkable to the decent town with shops and cafes etc, the Mine is worth a visit too it was very interesting and just a few minutes drive. Many lovely places like Phillip Island which isn’t too far to drive. Room was quite modern, very comfy bed and pillows also a decent bathroom with nice towels. Microwave, fridge and TV. Enjoyed the private balcony. Communication before check in was clear and the parking on site was easy and convenient.
A coffee machine or plunger in the room for our morning cuppa would have been so much better as we don't drink tea or instant coffee. Also although our room was very clean it had a fusty smell to it not sure what it was. The WiFi wasn’t great during our stay.

Long Weekend

A great spot to base our long weekend explorations from. The rooms were immaculate and modern and I loved that we were so close to the centre of town and all the great places to eat. Would definitely recommend!

Enjoyable stay

We had a great stay at the MJ McMahon Motel. The rooms were clean, quiet, and the service was veru good. The staff were vey friendly and efficient. It all made for a very enjoyable stay.

Excellent accommodation in Wonthaggi

This was our second time staying at the M J McMahon Motel. The rooms are very spacious, clean and a very comfortable bed. All aspects of the room were clean. The shower provided good pressure and great hot water. I would highly recommend staying here for a good nights sleep in Wonthaggi.

Best place to stay while visiting the area

A great expense all round. The rooms are new, beautifully designed, and with some layouts being able to accommodate for people in need of wheelchair it walking frame access. The maintenance is incredible both inside and out
