Cold beer- friendly staff- clean room-big bathroom.

I stayed at the pub whilst attending the Maritime Collage close by. On arriving after a day that consisted of driving from NSW and attending the course, I was welcomed by Elana, promptly checked in and shown personally to my room, But not before I was offered a beer to take up with me from the lovely man behind the bar. Cold schooner- clean room- big bathroom. Windows that opened or aircon if needed TV Fridge and tea and coffee facility’s. Good conversation with all the staff and I asked for a late checkout the next morning and they obliged. The locals were friendly as. I did get a room with a private bathroom. So make sure you ask for what you want. They have different options.

Overpriced

Way overpriced for the quality of the room. The room was very dirty. The soap container in the shower was disgusting and the shower stall itself also not very clean . The TV remote was filthy. All the light switches needed a good clean. There was a hanger for clothes but no hangers. The coffee cups were also not clean. The toilet fittings looked very worn and needed to be replaced. The industrial style toilet paper dispenser was also a bit of a surprise. I expected noise so no complaints about that. But if you are staying Friday/Sat nights just be aware that the band is very loud as are the patrons. The young man who escorted me to my room did not offer to help with my bag , I am a senior and although I was very able to manage my bag it would have been nice if he had offered. The facilities did not match the price I paid for this room. I also think a Smart TV would be just about standard in hotel rooms these days. I certainly wasn't expecting 5 star but I was expecting clean.

The Yandina Hotel experience is like stepping into a time warp where you’re instantly met with judgmental stares from locals who seem to think they’re guarding some sort of sacred ground. Seriously, the vibe is less “welcome to our local pub” and more “we’ll make you wish you’d stayed home.”
As for the staff, let’s just say there’s exactly one gem among them—a #1 legend who makes the place almost tolerable. Everyone else? Absolute charm-free zone. And then there’s Kirk, the manager, who seems to have made it his personal mission to make sure no one ever feels comfortable. He’s got the warmth of a wet sponge and the customer service skills to match.
If you’re into roughing it in a place that feels like it actively resents you, Yandina Hotel’s your spot. Otherwise, take your business to a place where the staff don’t look at you like you’re disturbing their peace by daring to order a drink.

Comfortable stay for a nigh

We spent a night here while in town for a cooking class at the Spirit House cooking school. The staff was very friendly and showed us to our room and helped out when we had problems with the air conditioner.
The room was on the smallish side but more than adequate for one night. The queen size bed was comfortable and had nice linen. The smallish TV screen was mounted fairly high up the wall so watching it from the one chair that the room had involved looking skyward. The window didn't open but the AC worked well.
The bathroom was a good size, fairly modern and very clean. There wasn't any shampoo or bar of soap but there were two very small tubes of body wash.
All in all we had a fairly comfortable stay. The only reason I am giving it a 3 star rating instead of a 4 star rating is that at $175 is is quite over priced compared with the many other country hotels and motels that we frequently stay in. A price of around $130 to 140 would make this a good value for money stay.

Room less than standard.... Dated 1930s Was confusion with my booking. The lady basically kicked me out. But in the proc

NO fridge in room
NO Toilet in room
NO Shower in room
NO Food after 8pm
Staff refused to give me the WIFI password
NO Respect from senior staff
Total Rip off for that price $120/night.
Happy to leave
