Great & safe place to stop

The room was great, clean, in good condition, bathroom and shower very clean and it had a spa bath!
The room was spacious compared to most motel rooms we come across
It provided, on request breakfast and it has a restaurant which was about half full, not bad for a Sunday night, we used the in room meal option and it was great.
thoroughly recommend Thunderbird

Great overnight stay .

Stayed overnight. We had a twin room (4) which was very good, so spacious, additional sink in the room plus microwave. Nice restaurant which also did breakfast. Definitely recommend.

Average Stay for the Price

My mum, dad, and I stayed at the Thunderbird Hotel in NSW for one night. At around $250 for a standard room, I did feel the pricing was a little expensive for what was offered.
That being said, I had requested downstairs accommodation due to travelling with my elderly parents, and I was very pleased that this request was honoured, which we greatly appreciated.
The room itself was clean enough, but overall it felt quite dated, particularly the lighting. The room only had bright overhead lighting and no softer lamp lighting, which would have made the atmosphere feel much warmer and more relaxing in the evening.
The bathroom was fairly standard and functional, however we did experience an issue with water leaking onto the bathroom floor during my father’s shower. I suspect it may have been due to the position or angle of the showerhead, as Mum and I did not experience the same issue ourselves.
I had read reviews before booking and thought the hotel sounded quite good, which just goes to show how different experiences and expectations can vary from person to person.
I had intended to mention the bathroom issue at checkout, however I was simply asked whether we had used any refreshments from the minibar and there wasn’t really an opportunity to provide feedback about the stay itself.
Overall, it wasn’t a terrible stay, but for the price paid I personally expected a more updated and polished experience.
