Unique gem...
Found by chance and contacted and booked at short notice. The central and very quiet location of the house means you can leave the car behind. The thermal baths, town center and restaurants are within walking distance. A large and very good, fresh breakfast buffet sent us off well prepared for the day.
Very large and well-equipped rooms made the stay even more pleasant. Very friendly staff were happy to provide tips and advice. 5/5*, we would love to come back

Just enough to sleep!
I spent three nights at the Waldbauer Breakfast Hotel and unfortunately I am prompted to take a very critical view. Although the house was officially renovated in 2013, the interior presents itself in a way that is more reminiscent of an outdated aesthetic of the 1990s. The overall impression thus seems anachronistic and hardly conducive to the claimed modernization.
The condition of the hair dryer provided in the bathroom was particularly strange: exposed cables, fixed in place with adhesive tape, gave not only an unprofessional but also a potentially dangerous impression. Such a fundamental breach of basic safety standards is simply inexcusable in a hotel business.
Also irritating is the complete renunciation of any possibility to obtain bathrobes or additional towels for the thermal bath. Especially given the location of the house, this lack of service not only seems incomprehensible, but highly inconsistent. In addition, the hotel is wasting the chance to use branded bathrobes to pursue a stylish form of subtle self-promotion – an indication of a lack of service orientation and strategic vision.
In addition, the question inevitably arises as to what the term “breakfast hotel” should even refer to. Looking at the breakfast on offer, it is difficult to see a culinary claim, a conceptual idea or even just a recognizable focus on quality. The discrepancy between name and actual performance could hardly be clearer.
Positive aspects should nevertheless be mentioned:
Free parking in front of the house (if available)
A fundamentally moderate pricing framework
However, the deficits clearly dominate the overall view, so that the promised level of a “breakfast hotel” is not achieved either qualitatively or atmospherically. From a house of this category I would have expected a much more sophisticated, in every respect more carefully curated experience.

Excellent
Very good hotel, always happy to come back, parking in front of the house, thermal baths within easy walking distance, rooms well equipped, the cushions are a little too big, cover would be better with a zipper so that the cushion doesn't come out when sleeping, it's a bit disgusting, will come back

Wir buchen gerne wieder
Wir haben nur das Personal von der Rezeption und vom Frühstücksraum getroffen, da wir nur schnell einchecken konnten, auch außerhalb zur Check-in-Zeit und waren dann schon im Aquapulco verschwunden und erst zum Schlafen zurück. Von daher sehr freundliches Personal. Unser Zimmer befand sich im Erdgeschoss wo auch die Küche und Waschküche sich befinden, das hat uns nicht gestört. Das Zimmer war super, süßer Minibalkon, Klapperstorch war auch nebenan dekoriert :-) Auch war das Zimmer sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Matratzen waren TOP, wir haben supergut geschlafen und sind ohne Rückenschmerzen aufgewacht. Der Frühstücksraum ist auch sehr schön eingerichtet und es gab reichhaltige Auswahl und schmeckte uns sehr gut. Der Kaffee schmeckt nicht überall, beim "Waldbauer" aber schon. Leider waren wir nur für eine Nacht wegen unserem Kurztrip ins Aquapulco dort, aber wir kommen gerne wieder ins Frühstückshotel Waldbauer.

Bra hotell
Jag sover alltid bra här och det är trevlig och omtänksam personal! Gott om plats i rummen och det är lugnt. Frukosten är toppenfin och man blir mer än nöjd! Lite minus att receptionen inte är öppen mer än några timmar på förmiddag och eftermiddag, men man kan alltid få hjälp via telefon.
