Great mountain inn, great, good food

The Baumgartner Hof is a great mountain inn. Great value for money to quality food, very good. Very hospitable hospitality, all in all perfect, will gladly come back anytime.

Unique place with superb view on the Faaker See, and very friendly personnel.

This hotel was one of our stops on the Alpe Adria hiking trail. We had one overnight with the family (5) and dinner. Very friendly personnel! We felt really welcome. We had a good dinner with typical Austrian dishes on the terras outside, with a superb view on the Faaker See. We had one big family room, though a bit tight for 5 persons but OK for one night. After a good breakfast in the morning sun, again on the terras, we hit the road again.

Ideal stop when on the Alpe Adria Trail

The hotel is ideally placed for those walking the Alpe Adria Trail. We had a very comfortable room and excellent breakfast. I can recommend the venison ragout for dinner (there could be greater choice for those, like my wife, who don’t eat meat). The staff were very friendly.

Beautiful location

We stayed at this hotel on the Alpe Adria trail for one night. The room was a little faded but the bed was comfortable and the linen good. The food was good but what really makes the hotel special is the amazing views over to the Faaker See. There's a lovely big terrace from which these can be enjoyed.

Good stop along the Alpe Adra

The Baumgartnerhof is a nice hotel with excellent views over Faakersee to Worthersee and beyond to Gerlitzen and Millstat. Some parts of the hotel are a little dated, but overall this is an excellent place to stay. The food here is very nice, especially soaking in the views from the outside terrace.
The rooms are comfortable and there is plenty of space to park outside.
