Lovely country hotel

The hotel and its outdoor restaurant sit beautifully in the square overlooked by the old tower and belfry, vying for space with parked cars. Our room was spacious and more than comfortable with a two-window view of the square, a big bed (not the usual twins), seperate shower and toilet, and a desk. It was lovely accomodation - the only drawback being the chime of the big bell at 7 am...but a small downer for a great stay.
The restaurant (inside and outside dining area) was very pleasant in the square in the evening though, as usual, smokers in adjacent tables spoiled the atmosphere. If you can score a table away from the cancer sticks, it's a great dining venue.
One final note: the manager Wolfgang is a delight, very helpful.

Nice central Australia hotel

This stay was located in a very nice setting, convenient to travel to many sites in this part of the country. Ask for a room that faces this historic town's square. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Higly recommendable place!!

This hotel has an amazing location at the main square of Enns, rich and various breakfast with fresh fruits and vegetables every morning, stuff is very helpful and professional. Higly recommend this hotel when visiting beautiful Enns, the oldest town in Austria!

Best hotel of an already wonderful trip

Can't speak highly enough for the hotel. The location is perfect with rooms overlooking the main square of this beautiful historic little town. On an already wonderful trip, the town of Enns and the hotel have been our favorite part. Local folks who appear to meet there regularly quickly invited us into the bar and the hotel owner gave us our first drinks on the house. Dinner was great - there were non-Bavarian options (which we needed at this point) and in short it was delicious. The wait-staff in particular was phenomenal. They literally saw us pull up on our bikes on the square and came out to meet us, showed us to our rooms, and even gave us a key to go up into the clocktower on the center square since we arrived after hours. We were very impressed and were only upset to leave the next day. If you are on the fence about stopping off in Enns, we would highly encourage spending a night there. Lastly, our room at the hotel seemed to be brand new (they were renovating other rooms when we arrived) - in short, you are likely to get historic charm and ambiance with brand new bathrooms, furnishings, etc. A lot of great things about the stay, but the wait-staff at the hotel was the most exceptional part.
