A beautiful retreat in the bustling tourism hotspot

It is an experience to be able to spend a few days in such a time-honoured house with the flair of an old Hallstatt townhouse. The suite, with its whirlpool on the terrace and breathtaking views of the lake and the mountains beyond, is modern yet cosy. The breakfast, which is delivered to the room at the desired time, leaves nothing to be desired.
We really enjoyed the stay!

Rare Unique Hotel Stay Opportunity!

This is an amazing hotel and you're staying in a piece of history which is super cool. And they've renovated it to make it luxurious, especially compared to the standard hotel or accommodation in Hallstatt which is a basic bed and breakfast. The suites are cozy and charming with old style wood, jacuzzi hot tubs (awesome in the cold weather!) and fireplaces. Theres even modern spa facilities on site. It was exactly the charm and luxury we wanted right in the middle of the old town. Don't believe the other reviews saying anything negative. Sure you have to take your luggage up some stairs but that's everywhere in the town because of how it's laid out. This is probably the nicest place to stay in town and we stayed in 2 separate suites with no issues and great service from the staff.

What a view! Could have just stayed in the suite the whole time and been just fine lol
AC (portable unit) in room which was nice as it was hot
Not sure if there is a 2nd entrance but travelers need to be aware steep steps up to door and again inside to the suites (no elevator)
Small fridge in room and lots of nice amenities such as coffee and wine and chocolates- and robes in bath.
Hosts nice and easy to communicate with on WhatsApp

The view was simply amazing. So nice to have a relaxing place to retreat to away from crowds. The garden/beach area is about a 5-10 minute walk but it has very comfortable chairs.

We had the library suite with fireplace. Too warm for the fireplace but the views out each of the three windows was fantastic! We ordered the in suite breakfast each morning and it was fabulous! Easy communication with our host using WhatsApp. The front door from the 1700's was a bit tricky but it's not every day that one gets to step in through history! We enjoyed our layed back stay along with the gorgeous sights and sounds!
