A beautiful experience!

We were surprised at the friendly welcome of the management of the hotel and were delighted with the polite and attentive staff of the hotel, as well as the restaurant! The breakfast, the coffee, the buffet, the culinary offer in the restaurant was a treat.
Especially nice, large and relaxing was the stay on the hotel's own beach.
The room was simple, according to the booking and fully adequately furnished.
The hotel is centrally located for many activities and experiences that Carinthia has to offer!
Should we plan a holiday again, we would immediately inquire again at this hotel. Thank you so much!

When is a 'guarantee' not a guarantee?

I would have loved to have stayed at this hotel. Indeed I had booked a 4 night stay for August back in January. The hotel confirmed the booking and asked for a deposit to 'guarantee' the room which I paid. Imagine my surprise when at the end of June (no, I'm sure it had nothing to do with Brexit) they contacted me to say that they couldn't honour the booking. No explanation was given. To be fair to them they had organised an alternative - but to a hotel which was very different in character which in the event we hated. They also refunded my deposit which was a plus. If nothing else this experience has driven us back to our usual haunts in the Tyrol.

Dear Mr. We saw your rating and we are really very surprised. Yes it is true that we had an overbooking and because of that we got in contact with you very early to ask if you would accept to choose an other hotel for your stay in Carinthia. We gave you 3 contacts in our region and you also would have had the opportunitiy to get support from the online platform but you also didn´t want to use their service. At least I want to point up that we immediately paid back the deposit! We are very surprised that you gave us an rating although you DIDN´T STAY IN OUR HOTEL!! Sorry that the alternative accommodation you choosed was not good enough for you but to be fair towards us – this was your own decision to which we had no influence. Best regards. Hotel Gabriel

Great find...delightful family run hotel

This was booked at very short notice. The people were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The whole stay was a delight. We were touring on motorcycles and this was a great stopping off point on the way to Slovenia. Large secure garage for the bike. The views to the south and the lake were a bonus.

Perfect

We had a wonder two nights at Gabriel at the end of July. The weather was mixed, but the hotel certainly was not. The staff were very friendly, the service excellent, the food in the restaurant was very good. We loved looking out towards the lake come rain or shine. The rooms are well appointed and everything you expect from a lovely lakeside hotel. This is a real gem and we will definitely be heading back in the future.

Nette, saubere Unterkunft!

Man merkt hier, es ist ein familiär geführtes Hotel. Saubere, nette Unterkunft, schöne Zimmer mit Bad (Brausetasse), vielleicht mit einen Manko, das Hotel liegt an der Bundesstraße. Den eigenen Strand haben wir nicht benutzt. Kostenlose Parkplätze sind vorhanden; Das Frühstück wird im selben Haus in einen ital. Restaurant (mit anderen Betreiber!) eingenommen - dies ist nach meiner Meinung allerdings etwas "dürftig" und noch dazu "lieblos" präsentiert.
