Correct but not exceptional
Great location in the village. We go skiing on foot, it is convenient. The ski room is well organized and functional. Nothing wrong with that.
It is an old building, with charm. But the rooms are quite low ceiling.
Room 304. Very clean, nothing to say about the maintenance. Decent room and bathroom well. On the other hand, the whole is dated. And most importantly, without sight: three-quarters on a blind wall. This should be clearly stated at the time of booking. The toilets are separated by a translucent blue glass brick wall. Very glamorous when you share the room...
No magnetic card but an old-fashioned key. For skiing, it is painful. We're always afraid of losing her on the slopes.
Slippers are charged €2. At this price level, it's small.
Upon arrival, no snacks or welcome attention. The bar is without atmosphere. The smile is missing. The simple hello is missing too.
The spa is ok, but the pool looks mostly like a large children's bathtub. Very little care offered.
Evening meal very well, it is a positive. On the other hand, the salad bar is average.
Decent breakfast, very good omelet. Very little fresh fruit and little juice. A basic toaster, made in China, worthy of a student studio. Not at the level displayed. Indigent afternoon snack.
Half board, decanters of water are charged.
Wifi shabby, worthy of the ADSL of twenty years ago.
The day of departure, like many, we left early. No scheduling arrangements for tea or coffee. A bag left the night before with a ham-cheese sandwich, stayed overnight in a heated room. Medium.
And the ponponpon: departure at 5:45, elevator blocked at night, without us being notified. Three floors down with luggage.
All 5 star reviews led me to book. But they do not accurately reflect the lived experience. If I don’t give 5 stars, it’s not out of hardness. Putting 5 would mean that there is no room for progress. But there are many. There is potential, but also several simple areas for improvement.

As we are located in the very heart of the village, neighboring buildings are naturally part of the surroundings — exactly as described in our documents and on our website. At the same time, your room offered a beautiful view of our village church and the surrounding mountains, which many of our guests greatly appreciate.
We are a traditional house and boutique hotel with a long history. All of our rooms are continuously renovated and kept up to modern standards; however, each room is individually designed and reflects its own personality and charm.
Due to the structural nature of our historic building, it was not possible to create higher ceilings. Yet it is precisely these architectural characteristics that give our house its authentic boutique style. For the same reason, we have consciously chosen to maintain our traditional key system. We have personally asked many of our loyal returning guests about this, and they clearly prefer the classic key over a key card.
Regarding our wellness area, we clearly communicate that we are not a wellness hotel. We offer a small swimming pool for relaxation, not a sports pool, and instead of an extensive spa menu, we provide selected massage treatments. Our focus is on creating a cozy retreat atmosphere rather than operating as a full-scale spa hotel.
Sustainability is important to us. To reduce waste, we do not automatically place disposable slippers in the rooms. At the time of booking, guests are informed that they are welcome to bring their own slippers to support our environmental efforts, or they may conveniently purchase a pair at reception.
We are truly sorry that you did not feel comfortable at our hotel bar. Our entire team, as well as the Kurz family, personally greeted you every day, as warm and personal hospitality is at the heart of what we do.
It is correct that we charge €3 for our mountain spring water, which is freshly served by our service staff. Our daily salad buffet includes 12 different salads and four dressings. Should the selection ever feel insufficient, we are always happy to prepare additional options upon request. Our juice bar offers five different juices and a freshly prepared smoothie each day. We intentionally focus on regional and seasonal cuisine rather than an overwhelming variety — quality and freshness are our priority. That said, we are always open to accommodating individual wishes whenever possible.
As already mentioned in our previous email, the elevator unfortunately stopped working due to a technical issue beyond our control. Guest safety is extremely important to us, and we regret that the malfunction occurred during the night and was only detected at 7:00 a.m. As a four-star boutique hotel, we do not operate with a night porter.
The lunch package prepared for you included two sandwiches, a beverage, something sweet, and an apple. All rooms are equipped with a minibar, which may also be used for cooling personal items if needed. For guests departing early, we are always happy to prepare coffee, tea, or another hot beverage upon prior request.
Our complimentary Wi-Fi is regularly maintained and aligned with current technical standards.
