Very good stay

Stayed for 6 nights as part of a tour group.
Checkin and check out was well organised.
Rooms were clean and tidy.
Television had English speaking channels. There was a safe in the room.
No bath but a walk in shower with good water pressure.
Room had a balcony with sliding patio door.
The hotel catered very well for vegetarians.
Breakfast was a range of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, cheeses, eggs, bread.
The hotel issued an Alpbachtal card which allowed free use of local buses and free entry to the very good open air museum.
I would have no issues staying here again.

Family owned and operated hotel

I have stayed here twice; in the summers of 2018 and 2019...I will keep coming back!
The hotel has a rustic charm but is actually quite modern inside with good wifi.
The rooms are fairly large with comfortable beds and are absolutely spotless.
What I like the most, however, is the hospitality and the friendly service. You can really tell that this is a family-owned and operated hotel and you feel welcomed as soon as you set food on the premises.
This kind of warmth and intimacy is something I found is hard to come by in this day and age...at least where I come from.
If you want to unwind for a few days in summer, this is a perfect spot. Both Salzburg and Innsbruck are only a short train ride away but there are also nearby places that are worth a visit (I found Rattenberg was a bit of a hidden gem).
'm sure it's good for a ski break as well since other reviewers have pointed that out but I can't speak to that.

Better than last time

We came back, as part of a big group again and the thing worth mentioning is how much their food improved, the taste is great and the options are adequate also for vegetarians. We got some quality sleep too.
Is worth mentioning that there is a sauna too.

A sweet hotel in a charming area

We found this hotel to be comfortable and charming, with great service. We were a large family group, and we were not always easy to accommodate. Multiple children, seniors, a pregnant lady - we all had needs. This hotel did their best to make us happy. Don't forget to notice the charming sculptures on the grounds.

Thanks for your nice review dlgoldie! We are very pleased to hear you enjoyed your time with us and would love to welcome you again soon! Again, thanks for staying with us
PS: The charming sculptures on the hotel grounds were made by the Heinrich Lettenbichler, the founder of our hotel, three generations back :)

Quiet, rural with great views of mountains

Our visit was only for three days, wouldn't want to be there longer, only because being the summer season, there was nothing special about it. The staff were very happy and dressed in traditional Austrian clothes whilst serving us. Selection of meals were OK, but we were a group so there was no course choices, only one for starter, main and dessert. Continental buffet breakfasts affered a good cold selection and scrambled egg and bacon (if you were quick)
The Hotel is again, very traditional, quiet and large, with several add ons .Beautiful flowers trailing over the balconies at the front.Rooms big enough with either or both shower/bath.TV no English channels except CNN.Bed comfortable but had to ask for another pillow,my one was very flat.Bar was not manned all the time as staff doubled up on tasks but were available if you looked around. All in all, nothing to complain about at all. There was only one other Spanish coach group as well as us,we were only 11 and had our own smaller dining room.
