My trip at donauwelle

The Hotel was really clean had a refrigerator and safebox the room can be cooled in hot simmer the beds were really comfortable and we got a welcome drink it was very lovely

Nothing particularly great about the hotel. The card they took payment from I didn’t authorise, I would’ve preferred to settle bill on checkout. Tired hotel. Noisy surroundings to the room. Not a great location either.

Amazing service

I would definitely recommend the hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful. The service standard was great.
My kids loved the breakfast.

It was lovely to be able to sit outside to have breakfast overlooking the Danube.
I has a superior room, with an espresso machine. I don't drink coffee, so I would've preferred kettle and teabags...

Very Misleading River View – Not Worth the Money

I was very disappointed with my stay. The river view pictures on the website look photoshopped and are very misleading.
I booked two rooms and requested a river view if possible. At reception, they told us both rooms had a river view. After checking in, one room had no river view at all, and from the other room you could only see a small part of the river if you leaned your head out of the window. If a real river view costs extra, they should clearly say so instead of misleading guests.
For a 4-star hotel, the rooms don’t even have basic amenities like bottled water or a coffee/tea maker.
The Sunday breakfast was also disappointing. The fruits were ice cold, as if they had just come out of the fridge, and none of the bread seemed fresh.
I really don’t understand how this hotel is rated 4 stars. Even if it’s cheaper than other hotels, it’s not worth the money. I would not stay here again.
