Good accommodation, excellent breakfast

Clean rooms, comfy beds, very generous breakfast, pleasant little spa scenery
Cons:
Filter coffee and no alternative to cow's milk little contemporary, no fragrance for the infusions
When booking via Booking: You guarantee the booking by credit card, but the billing is done on site. This seems a bit cumbersome and seems a bit confusing and stressful to visitors at first, as you have to confirm a payment during the booking process, which does not happen.
If you address this at the reception, however, it is explained to you quite understandably.
The overall rating for the hotel seems a bit too negative to me.

I do not rate the Hotel Rotspitz per se, but only the management of the same that runs the hotel.

I still had a voucher that I received from the hotel some time ago as the stay had to be cancelled due to Corana.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to redeem the voucher in recent years for health and personal reasons. This August I finally wanted to catch up.
I emailed the hotel to see if I could redeem the voucher for two nights at the beginning of August. There is no response to the first email. It wasn't until the second email that I got a reply.
Then it was said that the voucher would no longer be valid and they would redeem it for me only in September out of goodwill. Now I wonder why it is no longer valid in August but in September it is.
So I asked again. Now the answers got a little rougher.
Supposedly the hotel would be fully booked in the time I wanted to come and nothing would be available. Which was a LYING. Even today it is possible to book a room there without any problems. I take a screenshot and asked how it could be that it was still possible to book a room in time without any problems.
Then only got a patchy reply that I have to accept that the voucher is no longer valid.
I honestly want to correspond here thoroughly past even further with the hotel, let alone stay there for two nights.
Just for reference, and especially to the Hotel Rotspitz...
According to a ruling of the Austrian Supreme Court, hotel vouchers may not expire without further ado and have a 30-year validity!!!
I have no desire or nerve to assert my right to legal action now. To give a negative review here is enough for me.
Let the hotel be happy with my money.
I hope this will prompt the review here to think if you really want to support this hotel with your booking.

Title: Unfortunately disappointing stay at Hotel Rotspitz – not what we expected
At the beginning of October, we were a guest at the Hotel Rotspitz with our Altherren football team (19 people) – full of anticipation for a nice weekend together in Tyrol. Unfortunately, we found that the hotel did not live up to our expectations in several key points. It was not individual mishaps, but a series of experiences that were disappointing for us.
1. No single payments possible – inflexible handling of guests
Although we had registered all participants by name in advance, we were informed on site that no individual billing was possible – neither in cash nor by card. This was justified, among other things, by possible card fees. With a total sum of almost 6,000 €, this attitude seems petty and not contemporary. The fact that a collective invoice was mandatory was also not comprehensible to us in this form. Travelling as a group does not mean that you give up your independence at the reception.
2. Disappointing food and lack of choice – especially for vegetarians
Food in the evening was limited overall. Already on the second evening there was only liver or stag to choose from – without a vegetarian alternative. This is hardly acceptable in 2025, especially if you regularly receive guests as a hotel group.
The so-called nostalgia evening on the third day was particularly disappointing: Again, a fixed menu (again roast deer) that had no relation to a special evening – rather the impression that it was leftovers from the previous day. For people who don't eat game, that was disappointing. Only the salad buffet was mega – but that can’t be all. On the positive side, however, is the rich breakfast as well as dessert and cheese plate.
3. No hospitality in the evening – gastro closed at 10pm
Although our group would have liked to have consumed in the evening, the dispenser was discontinued around 10 p.m. – no more orders possible. It would have been easy to schedule at least one service member a little longer. This early "curfew" seemed inflexible and unservice-oriented.
4. Achensee Card was not handed over despite payment
We expected the statutory tourist tax including the Achensee Card – but never received it. The reception was almost unoccupied during our stay. That doesn't shed much light on the organization.

The Hotel Rotspitz may seem well positioned at first glance – unfortunately, the reality was different for us. Little flexibility, disappointing Service and a kitchen that hardly responds to different needs. We left a lot of money as a group and were still handled like second-class guests. Very bad
