Inflexible, average, unaggressive - a pity Hintersee would be so beautiful!
First of all, I want to start with the good: the newly renovated rooms are beautifully designed and functional, Claudia at the reception because of her friendliness a big win for the house. Unfortunately, the rest isn't exciting, to sum it up in a nutshell: the house (with the line in front) is incredibly inflexible... here are a few examples and things I didn't like so much:
- Breakfast only until 10am - no exception, not a minute longer. Breakfast fine, but no "highlight"
- Checkout at 10am (although our yoga group was "graciously" allowed to hand over the keycards at 10.30am, but that was already the most extreme of possibilities)
- an incredibly unfriendly staff member at breakfast, who, when I asked "if there was no more cafe" (at 2 minutes to 10, since both coffee machines seemed out of order) with the most unkind eye rolling, taught me that she was just emptying the coffee brew (could have been said kindly).
- Wellness area no enrichment: ancient tiny saunas, the small existing relaxation area felt from the 80s, no use possible before 2 pm. To get to the wellness area located in the basement you must first cross a street in your bathrobe.
- Food fine, but 3-course menu of choice is understood to mean an unexciting salad from the buffet (1. course), a main course as a choice between fish-meat-vegetarian (2nd course). course), dessert from the buffet (3. aisle), which closes at 8 p.m. (with luck, we opened on Feb. day at 8.10 pm just got something).
- our booked room renovated there, pretty BUT the entire corridors, staircase, restaurant, wellness extremely old - no solid style. Angled, not tuned.
Conclusion: Room nice, rest leaves a lot to be desired.

Discovered a jewel!
Was completely unknown to me. What a omission! Modern house, great rooms, very good cuisine. And in absolute silence! Beautiful hiking opportunities.

Amazing time at Das Hintersee
Amazing place, lovely staff. Very good breakfast.
We stayed at one of the cabin and it was just perfect! They offer underground garage which was great for us. We visited the hotel SPA which was nice and warm with a variety of saunas.
Recommend for everyone that wants peace and quiet.

Keep Away From This Hotel
I have COVID and they still want me to bring it to their Hotel. They put profits before customer health care. The airline cancelled my flight and have given me my full refund, because they care about their staff, stating we don't want our cabin crew or flights to catch COVID please don't come to the airport. But in the other hand Das Intersee said they are still expecting me or l attend another time. I don't have availability this year because the dates they have proposed my kids are at School. They want me to rebook flight so l can go to their hotel to give them profits. They treat their customers as numbers, regardless uf you have COVID still come to our hotel.
My Doctor has said l am not fit to fly. I informed Das Hintersee, and they said to still turn up. How can l when my airline has cancelled my flight stating not to bring COVID to the airport and to their cabin crew.
Very Disappointed with Das Intersee Hotel. I am currently unwell with COVID, feeling lethargy, dizzy, no sense of smell and have a nasty cold!

thank you for your respone. I am sorry that you couldn´t come to our hotel, because od COVID, but in your situation you made the booking over the plattform Secret Escape and in this case it is not that easy to cancel the booking. If you had booked over us directly the situation would be different. We didn´t push you to come to our hotel, we only gave you the option to change your date & didn´t lose the money. I think your family enjoyed the days at our hotel, so you didn´t lose your money. If you had a insurance the cancellation wouldn´t be a problem at all. We wish you all the best. Best regards
