Lovely and cosy place
The room was spacious, clean, and cozy. It is a bit far from the center but the view is amazing, so definitely worth it.
There was free parking available.

WARNING!! DO NOT STAY HERE
Don’t have high hopes for breakfast. A piece of toast with butter and jam plus coffee or tea is what’s called breakfast in the booking and to make things even worse and more uncomfortable, Mrs.Kernstock stands right in your face whilst you are eating your toast.
There was no bathing soap or shampoo in the tiny bathroom. The room had the worst stuffy smell. We asked if we could borrow the iron, she said she didn’t have one. There was no information in the room or from Mrs. Kernstock about where to go for breakfast or the hours breakfast is served. We turned up at 9:00am this morning for breakfast, she told us we are late and she is no longer serving breakfast.
She had no interest In wether we enjoyed our stayed or not. Any question or start up conversation to Mrs. Kernstock was abruptly shut down with a NO.
Location is not great either.
The only positive comment is that the room was clean
No surprise the amount of empty rooms in Haus Kernstock . I will not book this guest house ever again nor recommend

Small Rooms but Friendly Owner
I had booked Double room for single use by mistake but the house owner made necessary arrangements. She was very friendly. Location was nice as it was near the Airport and not far from super market or freeway
Negative:
The rooms were very small and not so much comfortable for a couple on honeymoon (at-least the one where we stayed) Breakfast was very basic i.e. bread, milk etc. No fruits or other options for vegetarians.

Had a nice Stay for the low money we spend!
It is an attractive, characterful and comfortable bed and breakfast with good connections to central Salzburg and in a pleasant neighbourhood, with lovely places to eat and the city's main shopping street and Outlet mall nearby. Our hostess gave us, sharing a large sunny room at the front of the house a friendly welcome, generous breakfasts (sometimes you have to ask (: ) and invaluable suggestions as to what to see and do in this beautiful city.
Of course there are better hotels ( for much more money), but I you want to stay in an traditional, inexpensive and good located Bed an Breakfast: Give it a try!
