Wonderful break.

Wonderful break.
Excellent food, good service. One feels comfortable. Some things in the rooms and spa area could be modernized. The location is top-notch! The Schladming card offers many options, with free parking spaces sufficiently available.

As always a very pleasant stay Wonderful, would love to come back.

Great location, good food and very friendly staff. Price/performance is absolutely fine, especially with the generous wellness area!

It was very nice!

A lovely time
Very pleasant and wonderfully flexible with the arrival and departure of our fellow travelers - morning gymnastics in the fitness area and swimming before breakfast was great.
The many excursion destinations in the area and the rafting on the Salzach were the highlights of the vacation…

More substance than style

Country House Suite
We were very disappointed upon our arrival at the hotel, especially when entering the room. We had booked the Country House Suite - according to the hotel the "best room" in the house.
That there is no air conditioning in old buildings is nothing reprehensible, however, it was significantly hotter in the room at an outside temperature of 95 degrees Fahrenheit - it felt like 113 degrees. It was cooler and easier to bear in the sun than in the hotel. The shutters in the room did not work, which is not an advantage with a panoramic window. The balcony door (sliding door) was very difficult to open, requiring a lot of force, and then only opened 50 cm. The wood on the balcony was already very dilapidated, which made us hesitant to even step onto the balcony.
It was hard to think about the wellness factor and time to relax that the hotel advertises when a highway and a train track run directly in front of the balcony and the panoramic window. In the 30 minutes we were in the room, it was barely bearable due to the heat as well as the noise from trains, trucks, and cars.
The road in the hotel village was filled with various potholes.
When we addressed our dissatisfaction, the staff was understanding, friendly, and helpful and offered us other rooms. But these were also very hot and had seen better days.
The areas of the hotel that we entered were carpeted throughout. As well as an unpleasant smell and stuffy air. Which seems very unhygienic.
We are well aware that one cannot expect the same ambiance in old buildings as in new ones. However, one would expect a 4-star hotel with steep prices to be better maintained.
We then checked out again without further ado and, despite the unused and unacceptable room, still had to pay half the price (6 nights were originally planned), which amounted to just over €1,100.
As already mentioned, the staff was always friendly, understanding, and gave us several options.
However, we will not book a stay there again.

Good hotel

Although the hotel has aged in some respects, the stay was still very relaxing. We booked the supreme double room, but received a junior suite from the hotel, which was very pleasing. The food was very nicely presented and very good. The beds were good, the bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The staff was consistently friendly, the spa area with many lounge chairs.

Very good location
