Friendly hotel in beautiful Seehalm

Nice and clean rooms. Beds are comfortable. The hotel was renovated recently. Breakfast is great. Food is delicious. Special recommendation for people from exYu because all of the stuff speak Croatian/Bosnian.

Unbelievable

Unbelievable.
Rip-off special, "breakfast" a cheekiness, room GDR charm, only desolate, one speaks little German, completely overpriced, on the room walls countless blood smears of the previous guests, gelsen over gelsen, "Serivice" a joke! Be sure to stay away, even for unshakable optimists! Prices as in a 4-star hotel, "accommodation" a la lived-out scout camp!!! NEVER again!!!

beyond basic

We arrived to be told that no rooms had been booked for us. The only staff in the hotel did not speak German and left the reception to avoid answering the phone after we contacted our booking agent. Eventually the manager arrived from another town and confirmed that we did have rooms booked. Our bedroom was clean but most of the lights did not work, our window overlooked the bins and the towels were so thin that one had a hole in it. Breakfast was basic.

COUNTLESS MOSQUITOES IN THE ROOM

WE BOOKED AT SHORT NOTICE AND WERE HAPPY TO GET A LARGE FAMILY ROOM. RECEPTION ONLY SPORADICALLY ATTENDED. WITH THE VISITOR'S CARD YOU GET FREE ENTRY TO THE LAKE. APPROX. 200 M AWAY. CLEANING OF THE ROOMS, ESPECIALLY THE FLOORS, LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED. DOORS SQUEAKED AND CREAMED OR DRAGGED ON THE FLOOR. FACILITY MANAGER INFORMED. DEFECTS COULD BE CORRECTED IN SOME WAYS AND IN PART NOT. DRAIN PLUG WAS MISSING IN THE SECOND SINK. WE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS, NO REMEDY. BREAKFAST BUFFET WAS A BIT POOR. BALCONY WAS WITH A LAKE VIEW. THE MOSQUITOES WERE BAD. THE ROOMS HAVE NO AIR CONDITIONING AND NO INSECT SCREENS ON THE WINDOWS. IT WAS SO HOT IN THE ROOMS. IT WAS 32 DEGREES, AND IF YOU WANTED TO OPEN THE WINDOWS AND BALCONY DOOR IN THE EVENING, COUNTLESS MOSQUITOES CAME INTO THE ROOM DESPITE THE CURTAINS. WE HEARD THE NOISE FROM THE STREET AND OTHER GUESTS BATHING AT NIGHT, AS THE HOTEL IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SOUND. IF THERE ARE EVENTS NEARBY IN THE BIO CAMPUS, THE HOTEL CAR PARK IS FULL OF VISITORS, SO AS A HOTEL GUEST IT'S HARD TO FIND A PARKING SPACE. WE PAID 159 EUROS PER NIGHT FOR A ROOM INCLUDING TAX. BREAKFAST PAID. RECOMMENDATION TO THE HOTEL THAT THEY INSTALL FLY SCREENS ON THE WINDOWS SO THAT YOU CAN AT LEAST GET PROPER VENTILATION AND SLEEP.

Quaint Inn with Beautiful Drive to Salzburg

We opted to stay at this quaint inn in Seeham instead of busy Salzburg. The inn is nestled in the small, countryside town of Seeham. We chose to stay in this inn and drive the beautiful and short 25 minute drive to Salzburg. We decided quieter and cheaper was better suited for us. Enjoy busy Salzburg by day and quiet Seeham at night.
The staff was very friendly. Upon arrival, we were escorted to our room and the staff made sure everything looked good before handing over the keys for our stay.
Our room in the inn was roomy for 4 adults. It was not a typical hotel room with one room and two beds. The room was sectioned off for private sleeping areas. The bathroom was a good size, although a bit dated. We enjoyed a fenced in patio on the ground floor. The upper rooms had a small patio as well. We did find it a bit odd that the room did not have a mirror.
The breakfast was the best we encountered on our European vacation! There were plenty of options: fresh fruit, vegetables, bread, pastries, yogurt, meats, cheeses and jams. There was also hot eggs, meat & veggies. Fresh juice and lots of coffee/latte options were also available. There was definitely something for everyone.
We also enjoyed the pizzeria for dinner one night. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Will review separately.
Will stay here again if ever in the area.
