Very good

Very good!!!! The staff at the restaurant were very friendly. The Service was good, the rooms nice, clean and spacious with a great balcony. The central location is also perfect!

Delicious traditional cuisine with room for better customer service

The business has a warm, family-run atmosphere and offers delicious traditional dishes that are clearly made with care. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but the quality of the food largely justifies it.
Unfortunately, the experience was somewhat diminished by the receptionist, who came across as rather unfriendly and seemed easily offended when we raised questions regarding billing. A more professional and open approach to customer concerns would greatly improve the overall impression.

WARNING: Bar / Cafe: Frozen pizzas are served

I'm reviewing the hotel's City Cafe Bar Lounge.
We ate 21.7.24 outside yesterday. After a day of hiking, I felt like a pizza. It should have put me off, though, that there were only 5 pizzas on the menu with names like "Margaritha", "Diavolo", etc.
For € 11.60 I received an original frozen pizza (this quality, which you can get in the supermarket of Dr. Oetker or Wagner on offer for under € 2.-). I've never experienced anything like this in a restaurant or even a quick snack. Apart from the fact that the thing tasted... it's quite a cheek to even offer something like that. I'd be ashamed of myself as a host. Better take it off the map.
The one from my partner "Cup Denmark" was "quite ok, but not necessarily made with love" (<- O-tone).
It is also interesting that a cyclist costs more than a beer ...
Service was from research-naughty (the two gentlemen), to disinterested and musty (the somewhat firmer lady)
In summary: I was looking forward to a good pizza ... but with the mud-eating the stomach was glued and the dinner was messed up.

Good house in the 3 star category

We had booked 2 junior suites under the roof with six skiers.
The hotel is centrally located on the main road in Tux, so it's a short walk to the most important spots.
I had a single room in the suite.
The room faced the main road in Tux.
Unfortunately, the patio door and the window didn't have soundproof glass.
This was particularly noticeable in the early hours of the morning. Up until then, you could still sleep reasonably well with the window open, but then the night's rest was over.
The bathroom was stylishly furnished, but there weren't enough shelves for three people and there were no hooks for towels either.
In the morning there was a rich breakfast buffet, and in the evening you could choose between three dishes.
The food was generally OK, but there was plenty of room for improvement: I don't find canned corn as a side dish particularly exciting.
The staff were all very friendly.

A great stay ....

.... both last year and this year.
The hotel is very close to Eggalm lift and even closer to the Tux-bus that drives every 10th minute to Hintertux glacier. We had breakfast and dinner included in our price. The food was good, a little better than average, no luxuary but very sufficiant and you can Always ask for more.
The staff is very helpful and kind. Good wi-fi.
The thing that brings our stay to a little minus is the heat in the rooms that you cannot control, so we had to sleep with the window open.
And a minus is cleaningsstaff... they cleaned well but knock on the door every morning before we were up. Not everyone wants to go up at 7 a.m to have breakfast and go skiing early.

Dear Mrs. Engqvist,
thank you for your time and the great review of our hotel. We are very happy that you enjoyed in general your stay in our house.
Thank you also for your honest feedback, we will surely get back to our cleaning staff about that issue and to improve that. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Concerning the heating, we have a thermostat in all our heating appliances, but not with an option to control the degrees precisely like with an aircondition.
We would be happy to welcome you another time again in our hotel - in the meantime we wish you nothing but the best and look forward to see you soon.
Best regards from Tux!
