Quiet in the greenery and yet the center is within walking distance.

Due to the excellent location at the end of the lakeside promenade, you can reach the center on foot in just a few minutes, but the hotel itself is very quiet. The nearby Sol Beach is only audible until early evening. By boat, you can reach Pörtschach or Maria Wörth in about 30 minutes. The breakfast terrace with direct lake view is a highlight in itself, and the buffet leaves nothing to be desired.

Impossible, never again - for me, what they are doing is a rip-off.

It couldn't be worse! You book a suite with a lake view for €500 per night – then you arrive in a room that is furnished like a youth hostel in this so-called suite we didn't even have a ceiling light, so no light! Everything is totally dilapidated, balconies completely moldy! The room door could only be closed with force and two hands! The carpets in the hallway partly look as if someone had just thrown up on them - so impossible for €500 per night.
I then canceled, and then they even became unpleasant at the reception - no insight and without any self-criticism!
Then we wanted to order something to drink at the lake access, "We don't have drink service," I had to go down many stairs to a restaurant that belongs to the hotel and was allowed to carry the drinks myself on a tray over all the stairs and the whole complex to our lounge chair ‍♂️
That might be okay if you were paying €100 or so per night – but not for a whopping €500 per night!!
And even an employee I spoke with confirmed it: "I just work here, but many people complain here."

Fantastic location and great service – but the "suite" is a disappointment.

We paid around €1,700 for 2 nights with breakfast for a suite for 4 adults. Expectations based on the online presence and the well-known address in Velden were correspondingly high – unfortunately, they were not nearly met regarding the room.
The positive first:
Location & outdoor area: The location is absolutely top-notch and the lounging area right by the lake is truly fantastic.
Service & Catering: The breakfast was very good and the staff was consistently nice and attentive.
The points of criticism:
Room & Amenities: By a suite for 4 adults at this price, I definitely understand something else. Two people had to sleep on a simple fold-out couch. The master bedroom also did not seem inviting or "suite-like" in any way.
Condition: Both the room and the balcony are very outdated. The furniture and the ambiance unfortunately remind me more of an aging guesthouse than an exclusive hotel of this category. I have slept much more comfortably in simpler guesthouses.
Conclusion:
Location, lake access, and breakfast are right – however, the room offering is in no way proportional to the extremely high price. For $1,700, simply more quality, comfort, and space must be offered. A real shame!

Worst room for 200 euros I have ever experienced

Unfortunately, I can only agree with the negative reviews regarding the old building. My room is also in poor condition. In the shower, mold everywhere, stains, peeling wallpaper, and you can really hear everything from the hallway. Breakfast is really good and dinner was okay, but really nothing special/original.
Only the location is great; the fact that the music in the restaurant is far too bass-heavy and loud is probably a matter of taste.
I am annoyed, because I could have had an equally bad room for 100 euros per night and not for 200 , because all the accommodations around the lake seem to be resting on their location and not investing anything in modernization. I had also noticed that with other accommodations.
