Only made up room for 2 not 3 adults. Only stayed one night. Beds are not comfortable. It is a hostle so a lot of young people.storage available. Vienna is gorgeous . Was close to train station.

Unacceptable hygiene and dorm management

I stayed at a&o Wien Hauptbahnhof from Dec 17–21, 2025. Unfortunately, the last night (Dec 20–21) was a very bad experience.
My bed was stripped during the day even though my belongings were still there. At night, I found another guest sleeping in my bed.
I was assigned a different bed, but it was clearly not cleaned (stains, used tissues, trash, personal items). I had to clean and remake it myself before sleeping.
This shows serious organizational and hygiene issues. Not acceptable

Not staying again

Do not recommend! Stayed in a 6 bed dorm and litteraly felt like I was in a sauna , plugs and light next to bed didn't work including the hairdryer. To get to the bunk bed on top you have to climb a jungle gym looking ladder. Staff not welcoming, if you can avoid staying here I would .

good

came with friends as part of an interrail trip, I recommend this place :)
room and bathroom very clean, pleasant staff.
however, you have to take into consideration the fact that we do not have lockers available in the dorms, so the security of the luggage is not guaranteed...
furthermore, it is extremely hot in the rooms, with an impossibility of opening the windows...

Very glad to leave after one night

Really wish we'd read the reviews properly. This is by far the least enjoyable hostel experience we've ever had and we've hostelled a LOT all over the world. It's a huge place, loads of guests, our room was tiny though some looked bigger. No aircon, no fans - boiling hot in summer, noisy. There was no kitchen, not even a kettle, the 'guest kitchen' had been ripped out and was empty. No way to cook anything. The laundry was out of use. Overflowing bins and trolleys of unwashed dishes downstairs. The poor staff looked fed up and overworked (they said many staff had left recently which wasn't surprising!) Everything was a bit grubby - dusty floors, grimy towel rail. Communal areas grey and dated. The sheets and beds were at least clean and breakfast was edible, though very unexciting. Won't be returning.
