Fantastic location, especially if visiting in the summer because it is so close to the film festival. We frequently went for snacks or cocktails at the film festival as there were many great vendors there.
Staff were really kind at check-in. Rooms are very clean. Only thing missing is a kettle or a coffee maker in the room.

A disappointing change in direction

I have been a regular guest at Flemings Selection Wien for more than a decade and, until recently, had always been quite satisfied with my stays. Unfortunately, the hotel has changed considerably since Motel One became the new owner in January 2026. The property is apparently to be renamed and operated as a Cloud One Hotel, and renovation works are now underway.
Sadly, the first changes have not been encouraging. The breakfast offering has been noticeably downgraded almost immediately. The quality and variety are now, in my opinion, far below what one would expect from a four-star hotel. The newly introduced orange juice dispenser is perhaps the most emblematic example of this change. What is particularly difficult to understand is that the breakfast price has remained unchanged despite the significant reduction in the offering.
The attitude and service of the staff have also deteriorated. The level of attentiveness and hospitality that I had experienced over many years is no longer there. Overall, the hotel feels considerably less welcoming than it used to.

Staff was fantastic and we loved the accommodations and location. Was mildly disappointed there was no coffee and no iron in the room. Other than that we loved our stay!

Flemings is a very good choice when staying some days in Vienna. The location is behind the City Hall (Rathaus) and tram stops and metro stops are just outside. Rooms are spacious, the bed and bed linens/pillows are fantastic. Restrooms and shower very good but needs a curtain as the shower is a glass cube. AC is very good too. However, from now Motel One takes over the operation. They are gonna remodelling the rooms. What that means is still a bit unsure, but they will take away the fridge, the nespresso machine, the water boiler, and the free water bottles. The rooms are very good the way they are, and downgrading the facilities is not good, and most probably prices will increase, as renovation costs are very high. So let’s see the next when I stay there if I still think it a 5/5 hotel.
