It is a wonderful hotel. It is exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, and serves an excellent breakfast. It is relatively close to the city center, and the walk there is very pleasant. I highly recommend it.

Superb hotel

Henri Hotel Wien… well now, we are talking about a hotel that clearly has a real commitment in terms of atmosphere
Right away, you can feel it: it is not a cold and standardized hotel. It has a very “Viennese apartment” feel with warm, slightly retro decor, which gives a real impression of a lived-in place rather than just a simple stopover.
The rooms are comfortable, well-designed, with everything you need to feel at ease after a day of sightseeing. It’s not flashy, but it’s cozy and pleasant to live in.
Major strong point: the general atmosphere. It’s quiet, relaxed, and you almost feel like you’re in a little cocoon in the middle of the city.
Nice little plus: the common areas provide a real convivial feel, without being intrusive, which is a change from more classic hotels.
In short, a hotel with a distinct style, warm, and clearly pleasant for a relaxed stay in Vienna ✔️

Not worth the money

We stayed in this hotel for four nights.
Six adults ranging from 28 years old to 68 years old.
First the positives. The location is ideal. Great place to start exploring the city. It is in a quiet backstreet, but close to a lot of shops and restaurants. Right outside the inner city, but close enough so it is just a short walk to all the big museums.
The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortabele.
The breakfast itself is ok. Nothing special, but decent.
Then the negatives.
The breakfastroom, which is also the reception, is way too small. On certain days people had to wait to find a seat and it was very crowded.
In the pictures on the booking websites, it looks like a trendy hotel. This is not the case. The furniture actually is old. If you like that, great. But there were a lot of things that should not happen in this type of hotel.
Our chandelier kept flickering for four days straight. Both of our bedside lamps were broken (the lightbulbs were not attached).
There is no closet, only a place to put your bag and hang your coat.
The bathroom is really small. The towels are small. There is no body lotion, no conditioner, no showcap. This to me is not all necessary, but for the price of this hotel, it is.
But the main thing is that the walls are basically made of cardboard. We could hear our upstairs neighbor walking all the time. We could even track them walking to the bathroom and toilet and back.
If the people in the rooms next to us turned on their shower or used their toilet, we could hear them. We were almost able to follow their conversations. Any noise in the hallway (which is an open staircase across all six floors) could clearly be heard.
Same problem with the windows. You can hear anyone walking and talking on the street (we were on the fifth floor).
And also, the staff is not friendly. Except for the sweet lady responsible for the breakfast. The woman at the reception in the evening is just plain rude.
Overall, great location, but really not worth the price. It looks like they tried to save on everything, but still charge you the full price of a luxury hotel. It is too expensive for what you get. Even in Vienna.
(Also note, if you have limited mobility. There is a steep staircase to the entrance, which cannot be avoided. Once inside there is an elevator, but is is really small. It can barely fit 3 people)

Great hotel with a vintage theme but a modern comfort, close to the Museum area. The staff is nice and helpful. Our room had a good size (dining area, separate rooms for the bath and toilet) and all the amenities. Thank you!
