Excellent location in the heart of Vienna

We had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Pension Baron am Schottentor. The location is truly exceptional: the hotel is located right in the center of Vienna, just a few minutes' walk from the Schottentor metro station and about 5–10 minutes' walk from the City Hall.
It is an ideal place to visit Vienna on foot and easily enjoy the city's main attractions. The room was comfortable and clean, and we really appreciated the hotel's location.
A very good place to discover Vienna. We highly recommend it!

Our second stay in Vienna, new location. Great location for exploring the city. we were a bit confused on how to get into the building, but it was a good stay.

Good location, price and room size. Near everything a tourist want to see and experience. Clean rooms and excellent room service. The location of the room is what killed this deal. The room faces straight into one of the busiest streets in Vienna. Without AC in the room you need to open the windows at night to cool the room off. Open windows mean all the noise from the street including ambulances, public trans, bars, cigarette smoke, church bells all in one package. They do include ear plugs in the room maybe that should have been my first clue. The bar across the street and the loudest people don't close until 3am so you are blessed with all the noise and yelling of people until that time. Look for a room that faces inward or to the other side of the building probably much quieter. Overall a good place if they can probably accommodate people away from the street side rooms.

This hotel was in a good location for sightseeing but unfortunately there is a pub opposite that was so noisy till 3am every night to which we had no warning.
Clean tho the room wasn't done every day. Short on towels so had to ask for them. Nice size room. Had a coffee machine and you only get 2 capsules per day. We had no coffee cups so had to use the glasses from the bathroom. No staff at night only during the day. Personally I wouldn't stay here again.

Well-kept rooms, equipped with everything you need, with lovely views of the Votive Church, perfect service, very kind staff and helpful for every need. Strategic location with transport everywhere, 10 minutes walk to get downtown. We will gladly return because quality, unbeatable price.
