Good location

Simple hotel perfect for a cheap getaway. Located right next to a tram stop which is ideal for getting into the city, also able to walk to a few good locations from the hotel. Just be careful as the lift is currently not working so it is two flights of stairs up incase this affects you. Otherwise very clean bathroom and loads of space for storing clothes in bedroom

Worst I've ever been through..

We woke up at 06:45 because we thought a shooting happened in the building, no.. then they went ahead and renovated the echoing stairwell so early in the morning.. UNDER ALL CRITICISM!

4 stars?

All very bad. When I arrived, no one answered the intercom, I had to phone to get an answer. Finally they welcome us at the reception where a boy, dressed almost in pajamas, makes us check in. I state that at the time of booking I had requested to have 2 extra pillows in the room for postural issues during sleep. Obviously these extra pillows were not there, I point this out to the guy who realizes that he has not read my reservation carefully and I hear him reply that since the hotel was full (which is absolutely false) they did not have pillows to give me (I remember that we are in a 4 star) but that the next day they would solve the problem. Obviously sleepless first night. It speaks for itself. The next day, after having eaten a starvation and famine breakfast, I renew my request at the reception where no one knew anything, but they assure me that in 5 min they would let me have the 2 pillows. None of this is happening. After another half day I return to the reception slightly altered, I still ask for my two pillows and, as if by magic, an attendant hands them to me with argumentative and annoyed. The room was very small and poorly soundproofed (I heard for two days the sneezes of another guest in another room), the minibar is empty (someone then explain the sense) and the microscopic TV (12"-15") takes practically only Austrian channels with very sad programs and only one sports channel (Eurosport 2). A really bad experience. Two nights and 300 euros wasted. How dishonest to rate it 4 stars.

The hotel was okay for what we needed. All staff with the exception of one were excellent. The younger guy on the desk on arrival perhaps could have been a bit more welcoming and given a bit more information about our stay.
Would have been really nice to have a kettle in the room or access to the coffee machine available throughout the day. At times it was so cold and wanted to just come back to the room and relax but a hot drink would be nice.
The rooms were generally clean.
Location was good for the Christmas market and not too far from the airport.
Lots of coffee shops, noodle bars, kebabs and pharmacies but choices of restaurants were limited..

Budget accommodation

Stayed for one night with family. Overall the stay was ok. The front and entrance to the hotel is very off putting. Room clean. Location good. Staff friendly
Hotel is tired, threadbare mismatched towels and rust on the shower shelving was just some of the things I noticed.
