As a family, we booked two rooms with a connecting door; the hotel was already aware of this before our arrival. On-site, however, we were told that the door could not be opened because the technician was no longer in the building. Since it is a door with a standard door lock, this explanation is hard to understand. The impression was created that they simply didn't want to go to the trouble for one night.

Mit Bedauern haben wir gelesen, dass Ihr Aufenthalt nicht Ihren Erwartungen entsprochen hat und die fehlende Verbindung der beiden Zimmer insbesondere für Ihre Familie mit Enttäuschung verbunden war.
Gerne möchten wir hierzu etwas Hintergrund erläutern.
Unser Hotel verfügt über Zimmer mit Verbindungstüren, diese stellen jedoch keine eigenständige buchbare Zimmerkategorie dar. Entsprechende Wünsche berücksichtigen wir bei vorheriger Kenntnis selbstverständlich gerne nach Verfügbarkeit und bereiten diese nach Möglichkeit bereits im Rahmen der Zimmerzuteilung vor Ihrer Anreise entsprechend vor.
In Ihrem Fall befanden sich die beiden Zimmer zwar in unmittelbarer Nähe zueinander und wurden auf Grundlage der vorliegenden Reservierung zugeteilt. Die Verbindungstür zwischen den Zimmern war jedoch nicht freigegeben. Aus Sicherheits- und Organisationsgründen erfolgt die Freigabe von Verbindungstüren in unserem Haus ausschließlich durch die technische Abteilung. Bedauerlicherweise konnte dies bei Ihrer Anreise nicht mehr umgesetzt werden, da die hierfür zuständigen Mitarbeitenden zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht mehr vor Ort waren.
Wir können gut nachvollziehen, dass dies insbesondere für eine gemeinsam reisende Familie enttäuschend war, und bedauern die entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten sehr.
Anforderungen und Erwartungen an einen Hotelaufenthalt sind individuell und unterschiedlich. Unser Team berät daher gerne bereits vor der Buchung bei der Auswahl der passenden Zimmerkategorie sowie des geeigneten Hotels, um die jeweiligen Bedürfnisse bestmöglich zu berücksichtigen. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was too poor!!
Certainly a convenient hotel for the location but, alas, we must report a very serious event considering it is a hotel. After an entire day spent out around the city, upon returning we find that the room has not been cleaned. Furthermore, we notice that the towels are missing. At the reception they cannot give us a reason and the girl does not even apologize (she hands us two towels after an explicit request). We point out, however, that the cleanliness of the rooms in the previous days was never up to the standard of a three-star hotel, let alone the embarrassing remaking of the bed. We believe that the priority for a hotel is at least to try to guarantee tidy and clean rooms and we consider what happened truly inconceivable. Unfortunately, we do not feel like recommending a stay at this property.

Good stay
We were very satisfied, very friendly staff, great breakfast, and the coffee/water offer in the lobby was excellent. There was one downside, however - the room cleaning, which actually did not take place. The bed was covered (not even the sheet underneath was smoothed out) and the trash cans were emptied, that was all! When you are at a hotel for 1 week, you do expect it to be vacuumed and the bathroom to be cleaned at least once, which unfortunately was not the case. We were especially disappointed because the public areas were very clean.

Very good
Very good. Right next to the central station and yet quiet at night. Upscale Ibis atmosphere and quiet room with a very comfortable bed. Varied and fresh breakfast at an acceptable price if purchased at the time of booking. Even better if you book on the Accor App. The check-in could be improved and we will not hesitate to return.
