Pension Haus Sanz is located in a green residential area easily reachable from the A2 and A23 motorways. The Vienna State Opera is reachable by tram in 25 minutes. Parking is possible for extra charge on the street.

Very complete, wonderful rooms, family ambiance and very friendly owner and staff!
We are a senior couple from the Netherlands and have spent five nights in the house Sanz (April 2025). Our stay there was just perfect. Already upon entering we were warmly welcomed. The family atmosphere and loving welcome every morning from the hostess and the friendly, helpful staff have made our stay special.
Rooms are spacious and fully equipped, including coffee and tea making facilities. The bathroom has an excellent shower, which guarantees a pleasant start to the day. Every morning, a fantastic breakfast buffet awaited us with a wide selection of baked and boiled eggs, cheese, cold meats, yogurt, sweet spreads, juices, coffee and tea—there really was nothing missing!
The information folder in the room is also extremely extensive and offers many interesting and helpful tips for a stay in Vienna. Attractions, tourist attractions, restaurants and shops in the area—almost everything can be found in it! And if you need more information, the owner is always happy and committed to help.
The location of the house Sanz is ideal. The hotel is easily accessible by public transport; just a five-minute walk away is the tram stop of the Badner Bahn, which runs every 6 to 7 minutes to the opera house on weekdays—directly to the center of Vienna.(5 min walk) A subway station is also nearby (about 10 min walk)
Although this was not our first visit to Vienna, it was our first experience with the House of Sanz—and certainly not the last! We will definitely come back and can recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a comfortable and hospitable stay in Vienna!

very far from vienna not friendly or helpful for guests
the hotel but the hotel only wanted to charge extra fees for the check in without making a new booking which could have been done on booking.com in a few minutes and would have saved us hundreds of euros and earned them more money for the check in. not a nice hotel i wouldn’t stay here

Superb BUT far from the center of Vienna
On the other hand, getting to Vienna is long: Allow around 45 minutes door to door from the Haus Sanz pension to the cathedral.
2 metros or 19 tram stations!
