Great location of European style hotel
Some rooms have a view of St Stephen’s.
The rooms have high ceilings, rich drapes and a nice decor, plush towels and robes, hand painted murals and pieces of art throughout the hotel.
Breakfast in main courtyard was tasty.
And staff most gracious and helpful.

A gem of a hotel right in the heart of Vienna
And the rooms are absolutely beautiful! We stayed in a Royal and Royal Deluxe that could not have been more charming. The windows and the views were beautiful - just like you see in the photos online. The decor was gorgeous, beds were comfortable, and the blackout curtains worked a little too well, encouraging us to sleep off our jet lag.
We would absolutely hope to stay here again, should our family visit Vienna again. Thank you again to the warm and friendly staff at the Leo Grand!

What a lovely imaginatively-designed hotel!
Leo Grand is one of only two hotels that sits right inside the historic Vienna center. It faces Jasomirgottstrasse which connects Leo Grand to Stephansplatz and Stephansdom. How can you get any closer?
You would be forgiven for thinking that you were entering a fine dining restaurant as you enter the front door. On the left is a small guest lounge area which offers fruits and pastries plus wines, water and juices nearly the whole day and on the right are two registration desks. but in front of you is the entrance to the beautiful restaurant, actually open air but with a canopy that can be fully drawn when it rains (think of a convertible roadster). As a hotel guest, you walk around the perimeter of the restaurant to get to one of the two wings of the boutique hotel, with each wing having only 12 rooms over 4 floors.
The rooms are incredibly and imaginatively designed - creativity at its best. Ion a world where most high-end hotels look the same, Leo Grand takes the alternative route, mixing colors, patterns and art in a beautifully chaotic eclectic direction. The wallpapers are unique, often using animals, plants and wildlife as theme. This is echoes also in the smallish lobby and the public rest rooms. The room furniture as similarly creatively eclectic. The faux fireplace (they did have fake candles in the fireplace), fireplace mirror, main cabinet (ref, safe, etc.) and work table are French styled, painted in pale green with gold trims. The head table could easily be imagined to belong to Maria Teresa. with its gaudy treatment but with modern controls for lights and curtains and electric outlets on each side. Above the main cabinet is the coffee maker and large screen TV.
The T&B tilework is again quite unique and distinctive. The Geberit fixtures are impressive, with a modern control panel for the bidet. Ditto for the ac, with a modern style control panel. All the towel sets are in pale green, reflecting the dominant furniture color in the bedroom. We were booked on the top (5th floor) so the wall with the windows sloped. The rooms are on the smallish side but decent enough.
Breakfast is also in the restaurant and everything is cooked to order. There are prices for the menu items - but of course, as a hotel guest, you only needed to sign. Breakfast service was top notch! And cooking quality was very good.
There should be no other choice if you're looking for a hotel right in the pedestrianized section of the historic Vienna center.
