A perfect vacation week!
Perfect vacation week – hospitality at the highest level
We spent a wonderful and all-around perfect vacation week at the Burg Vital Resort and felt extremely comfortable from the first day to the last.
We would particularly like to highlight the exceptionally warm and attentive service. The entire team was friendly, professional, and present at all times, without it ever seeming forced. You can feel that hospitality is truly lived here.
The Burg Vital also impressed us with its culinary offerings. A special highlight was the mountain breakfast at the Kriegeralpe – a wonderful experience in a dreamlike setting that will certainly stay in our memories for a long time.
For us, the location was also perfect: We were able to start wonderful hikes directly from the hotel and enjoy the beautiful nature around Oberlech. Coming back to the hotel after an active day and enjoying the comfort, the peace and quiet, and the excellent service there was the ideal combination for us.
The Burg Vital manages to combine upscale comfort and quality with a pleasantly relaxed and personal atmosphere. Even as a family with our daughter, we felt warmly welcomed and in the best of hands at all times.
A big thank you to the entire team for this special week. We arrived with high expectations – and they were exceeded.

Vitalhotel: loud, gluten-free, and with nicotine – but at least a nice view. A paradise for smokers.

Let's start with the positive: The suite is beautiful, the view is magnificent, and the staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and eager to please. They are not responsible for the location of the pool nor for the requirements of the hotel management.
We had demonstrably and explicitly requested a quiet suite at the time of booking about half a year ago. We received a suite directly by the fun pool – with corresponding noise levels for large parts of the day.
After our complaint, the very eager staff showed us alternatives. These were, however, either older or did not correspond to the booked quality or did not have a comparable view. Suitable alternatives with a corresponding view were already occupied. At well over €1,000 per night and a quiet suite requested six months in advance, this is remarkable.
The actual highlight of the "vital" concept, however, follows at dinner.
What could be nicer after a day of hiking full of fresh mountain air than to take a deep breath again on a cozy summer evening on the terrace – and to be smoked out by thick clouds of cigar smoke?
The cigar smoke was so massive that we could not eat outside and had to move into the restaurant. In some cases, the cigar smoke could even still be smelled inside.
Upon our explicit inquiry to the staff as to how it could be that one or two cigar smokers could impair dinner for numerous other guests to such an extent, it was explained to us in essence: Smoking is expressly permitted there, and therefore guests must also be enabled to smoke.
The consequence is interesting: One or two guests want to smoke cigars – the non-smokers can then just go inside.
At least there is gluten-free bread.
Gluten-free with nicotine. Vitality can be so versatile.
And the vital program begins early in the morning: Smoking is also allowed on the balconies. So, around 5:00 a.m., the first cigarette smoke from the neighboring balcony drifts into the bedroom.
Wonderful: Open the window, let in fresh mountain air, take another really deep breath – and the first portion of cigarette smoke arrives free of charge. After all, the lungs want to be prepared for the next day of hiking.
After that, the fun pool in front of the suite takes over the entertainment program.
In the morning, cigarette smoke from the neighboring balcony. During the day, fun pool noise. In the evening, gluten-free with cigar smoke.
The suite and view are really nice and the staff deserves explicit praise. The criticism is directed at the general conditions and a hotel policy that allows smoking on balconies and the restaurant terrace even when other guests are massively affected by it.

For smokers, however, it is a paradise: Balcony, restaurant terrace, and mountain panorama – and when the cigar is smoking, the non-smokers can just go inside.

Unique journey! The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a genuine smile. Stefan, Blanca, Vincent, Alex, Lucas .. : you made our day.. The quality of the service was outstanding, and the team consistently went the extra mile to ensure everything was taken care of. The hotel view is unique. Really ..
One small suggestion for improvement would be to provide complimentary fresh drinking water in the rooms each day. This would be a thoughtful addition that would make an already excellent guest experience even better. And please do not charge 21 EURO for the 20 minutes recharge (8 procent) of an electric vehicle..

A magnificent relaxation weekend in the middle of the mountains of Oberlech!
The panoramic terrace with its impressive view is an absolute highlight. We sat outside every day and really enjoyed the view with a glass of wine.
The service was attentive and warm throughout our entire stay. Both at breakfast and at dinner, the selection is so diverse that everyone can put together their individual menu entirely according to their own taste. The dishes are beautifully presented and of excellent quality.
The sommelier gave us excellent advice every evening. Thanks to his recommendation, we discovered a new favorite wine.
We would love to come back!

In a very relaxed atmosphere, we could enjoy nature and great food. All staff are friendly. Whatever questions you ask anybody, everyone has provided an appropriate answer. Room condition is excellent and room service is also perfect. Amenity (soap, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, etc.) smelled so good. We could do various activities inside the resort. I was hiking and enjoying nature and exercising in the gym. It was so good that the lemon/orange water was ready for exercise.
