Excellent ski holiday!

Our group is returning here year by year because of the kind hospitality of the Family Maurer. The hotel is located for a short walk only from the Rote 8er lift. This lift takes you directly to one of the best ski regions in the Amade Ski World. As a Moawirt guest we could use the ski-depot in the Intersport shop (in the lift building) for free. In the afternoon we could leave our skis and ski-boots on the heated racks for the night. Returning back to the hotel, the wellness was waiting us: 2 saunas and a steam bath (we didn't use the fittness room too much). Then we had a 4-course dinner (2 options to choose from) and a salad bar with huge variety. In the morning we started our day with the buffet breakfast. The rooms are clean and comfortable, lot of them with balconies. There is a hair-dryer in the bathroom, but you'd bring your own toiletries (only a small soap is provided). The free w-lan compensates for this minor deficiency. The price level is moderate considering all the services provided. So thank you, Barbara, and see you in next year!

Perfect for skiing, eating unfortunately disappointing

Rooms: simple, cozy, nice, in the bathroom unfortunately there was no ventilation and the third bed in the room was too short, which we did not know before (probably 1.80).
Food:
Breakfast was satisfactory. You could put together cereal yourself, there were rolls and bread (dry)
- Dinner was unfortunately disappointing to be honest. We have often been used to skiing in Austria and something completely different. The main courses with meat were ok to good. Likewise, the daily salad buffet was satisfactory. The appetizer and dessert seemed a bit jumbled together (e.g. there was once spaghetti bolognese in small as an appetizer and as dessert “banana royal”, i.e. a banana decorated with cream and jam. Often the name for dessert was a bit too exaggerated and everything seemed a bit silly because of it)
In our family, several are vegetarian. We have as starter e.g. Get the pasta without the meat sauce and in an oily sauce. Another day there was salad with lots of onions and sliced cheese cut as cubes without sauce (a bit stupid because you had eaten salad before). Every day there was a soup. There were three times a slightly modified maintenance vegetable broth (once with croutons that we didn't like, once with pasta and once with a toast piece with melted cheese). Here we would have liked more variation e.g. potato soup or other cream soups. The vegetarian main courses were below canteen level and also looked thrown together (couscous with little vegetables and a fried egg on top, but this dish was actually ok in terms of taste). Gnoccis with Gorgonzola sauce were almost inedible: the sauce must have been a bag sauce (watery, white, no Gorgonzola recognizable, real Gorgonzola sauce is quite another). Another day we had some potatoes without sauce and breaded aubergine. These were quite oily, generally the vegetarian food was often quite oily. Today we would have had spaghetti with tomato sauce, we were glad that we did not have to eat this anymore due to our departure. Overall, it seemed like there was a total saving in vegetarian food. Pretty unfair since you pay the same price as others.
Location: perfect location for skiing (lift about 200 m away)
Sauna: Sauna area is ok. There are about 7 loungers in the relaxation room, a sauna with 90 degrees, a small one with 60, a steam bath and an infrared cabin. The shower is a bit small. So sometimes I waited until the others finished showering. Sauna times could be a bit longer, especially because there was a lot of activity and the sunbeds were often occupied. Of course, an outdoor area would also be nice.
Personnel: Staff were very friendly. Especially the waitresses always came to us with a smile. Also at the reception we were greeted nicely and said goodbye.

Hotel ruined by waiter Pinocchio.

We chose this location because the ski lift is within walking distance (300 m of road and parking space) from the ski lift.
Turns out to be a mediocre hotel with a pleasant receptionist who very attentively pointed out to us that the elevator could not be used in the evening.
Dinner and breakfast are good enough, but the red wine had probably been open for a long time.
When we asked, we got another glass of the same taste. Dirty.
The next day we decided to order a bottle of wine, unfortunately wine came opened at the table and the waiter said I just opened it .
With Pinocchio you would have seen it immediately.
Advice not to order wine or to say in advance that the bottle must be opened at the table.
The location is perfect, I would go back for that. But there are better hotels and then with the ski bus.

Great hotel family

We had great time on this family hotel.
It is very small, clean, has a small spa and great food! Internet is for free but is not the best one. There is also a room that they call gym but it would need to be redone.
The highlight of this hotel is that is just in front of the skiing area wht makes it very good for the ones who wants to ski .
