A bit basic but reasonable value and the staff were excellent.

I was 'forced' to stay here after my husband fell ill and needed a couple of nights to recuperate before flying home. We were in Room 4 which is right by the pool and reception so had no problems booking in etc. However, these are self catering apartments, not a hotel so there is nothing in the rooms to eat or drink (and we arrived late one evening) and the bar/restaurant never opened. The kitchen is very old fashioned with just one huge saucepan. One ring didn't work on the cooker. There is no washing up liquid or scourers or cloths to clean the saucepan or dishes.
Reception did sell some basics like soup and instant coffee sachets which saved my life that night. Also the water for the shower was cool not hot on the first day (but improved after I complained.) I note other people have said that there were no blankets - this was true! Is that normal of Barbados? I did get one after I asked though. They do supply towels now.
This is sounding very bleak but there were huge plus points. I loved the pool - it was simple but clean and refreshing. The beautiful beach was a fifteen minute walk away. There is a supermarket ( it's pricey) but that was a fair 35 - 30 minute slog with heavy goods so a car is recommended. I sat outside my apartment there and admired the humming birds and other blackbird type birds squabbling; stunning. The noise of the frogs at night was magical.
Also, because we hadn't been able to fly back on our scheduled flight, we needed to book new ones and the reception staff were brilliant with this. We'd never have managed it without them. They were outstanding throughout our stay and extremely helpful.
So, is it the best place? Probably not. Be prepared to ask for what you need. And take some snacks and a kitchen sponge to clean things. Then sit back and breathe in the Barbados air...

the worst apartments i've stayed in, in any country !!

i knew when booking this that it wasn't a top class hotel but i wasn't ready for how bad it really was. I knew about the long walk all the way to get checked in by reading other reviews and i also knew that it was basic from these too. But what i wasn't ready for was that i got the best room available and that it was so poor. The sofa had no springs so you were almost sitting with your bum on the floor. The cooker should have been thrown out years ago, the cutlery was dirty, there was nothing to wash it with and to top it off there were no towels whatsoever. This i did not find out about until i had a shower and had to dry myself off with my tshirt!!. This is a self catering apartment but i would not cook in here full stop!
There are plenty off cheap apartments in Barbados, choose one of those.

An adequate overall experience

On arrival, I had to wait for over an hour to simply be checked in to my room. However, as a courtesy, the staff transported me to the hotel which is five minutes away from the receptionist's office.
Pros:The apartment's bedroom and bathroom were clean and tidy. However, the addition of blankets would be a nice touch. The room contained a telephone which was a bonus. The pool area was very welcoming and clean. The surrounding neighborhood is safe and in somewhat close proximity to a small coffee shop and food truck.
The cons: dish washing liquid and sponge should be supplied in the kitchen area. Wifi was provided at an additional cost and can only be used on a limited number of devices simultaneously.

A slum!!

Do not book this venue! It's a disgrace,no clean towels, dirty linen, pool, sunbeds, and everything falling apart. This place does not represent Barbados, its a novel. The reception is a ten minute walk away with management who have no interest in the venue. Disgusting slum. Stay clear!
