Great hotel, will be back ! (as long as the fridge/cooler works)
We eventually found it, and after parking out the front, and going into the reception, we found that there was a "charge" for using their car park, we did know this before hand, but we feigned stupidity and eventually we got our stay free and we had a disabled bay, near to the entrance, so that was really helpful.
The room we got was brilliant, so much room to get about, lovely comfy bed, useless Euro pillows, why is it that all pillows in all hotels in Europe are useless and just go flat once you lay on them, we always ask for more now, just to get some sort of comfiness, LOL.
The bathroom too was big, enough room to get around, with plenty of toiletries to use, meaning we did not have to use ours, the start of our trip coincided with the UK and EU having the hottest temperatures on record, with many countries beating their previous high temperatures, and trying to get the rooms chilled was an experience, but we managed it here, and the room was perfect.
There was tea/coffee making facilities, which we generously took advantage of, and water too, which we did not, as we had a case full in the back of the car.
It is now a thing that you do not get room service each day, to refresh your towels, or make the bed, etc, unless you specifically ask for it, so that means less staff hours to do this, but the price of the room does not come down to account for it, maybe they should offer each room with two prices, one for "maid" service and one for do it yourself, LOL.
We wandered down to breakfast, which was very nice, the full complement of items from full English (with non UK Bacon and Sausages) Cereals, fruits and yoghurts, breads, rolls, cakes, and the full continental selection, lots of different fruit juices and tea and coffee machines, very nice it was too. Plenty of helpful staff, a very good fill we had. The atmosphere of the restaurant and in fact the whole hotel is chilled out and laid back, which puts the customer at ease, perfect.
A second night was had here, and a good night's sleep was had again, we found the entire hotel to be clean and tidy at all times, but you never see anyone doing it, which is the way it should be, the only issues we had was the fridge/cooler in the room did not work, the light came on but nothing else was working, which for me is a pain, as I have medication that required to be kept chilled, bags of ice put in the fridge/cooler helped a little, but no one bothered to come and check it, even the guy on reception that came to look, made a note for the maintenance team to check it out, but on checking the second day, they still had not done anything and the note was still on reception.
This why they got four stars instead of five, having broken equipment in the room is one thing, but not bothering to get it fixed for a customer that required it for medical reasons, is another, why things need to be an issue, I can never understand. The door to our bedroom was of a decent thickness, which meant that we heard very little if anything from corridor, we did hear a little noise from the main road situated at the front of the hotel, and especially when the sirens of emergency vehicles went past.
Getting a taxi from the hotel is easy, they come right to the door and bring you right back again if needed, we like to use BOLT when in Europe, we have found them to be cheap, easy to use, friendly (most of the time) and the cars are usually very good clean and reasonably new - We used Uber on the way back, not anymore we won't, LOL.

Thank you for sharing this positive rating.
We’re delighted you appreciated your spacious room, comfortable bed, and well-equipped bathroom. It’s wonderful to hear our breakfast selection and attentive staff helped start your trip positively. Your recognition of our cleanliness and relaxed atmosphere means a lot to our team.
However, we sincerely regret that some aspects fell short of your expectations. We apologize for the inconvenience with the fridge and the delay in resolving it, which we’ve addressed with our maintenance team. Your feedback about bedding comfort and our housekeeping policy has been noted for internal review.
Nonetheless, we’re thrilled you valued our convenient location and seamless taxi access. The calm environment you described reflects our commitment to guest comfort, and we’re glad it enhanced your experience.
We look forward to welcoming you back.
Kind regards,
Crowne Plaza Antwerp Team

Undersized for 4 stars!
For check-in on correct arrival day????
Arrival: lady at reception understood little Dutch and room we got was certainly not 4 stars, in my opinion wrong stars are awarded.
Beds uncomfortable and duvets too small myself I am 1m73!!! Dust nets/cobwebs in corners of rooms, paint stains on walls.... Coffee/tea facilities and empty bottle of water!! Guess we had to fill the water bottle with tap water ourselves!
Breakfast people talk about "salmon" , nothing seen.
Everything present at breakfast but
for 3 stars not 4!
Been a tour guide myself and this 4 star rating is substandard: to service, rooms, value for money... in every way.
Restaurant 23 euros for " saucis with stoemp", 30 euros for fish pan, fries extra 5 euros. Three shrimp croquettes 19 euros, fries 5 euros.
Price 1 night 160 euros for 2 pax.
I recommend other hotels in this price category!

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us in such detail.
We understand that your stay did not offer the comfort and service you had in mind. Your comments provide us with valuable insights. We are internally evaluating reservation follow-up, communication at the reception, and the coordination of room types to make this process smoother and clearer. Additionally, we continue to refine our checks regarding room maintenance and finishing, with extra attention to detail and cleanliness.
Regarding facilities and offerings, we strive for transparency and quality. Our team is always ready to assist guests on-site with questions about amenities such as water points or the breakfast menu, and ensures that everything is clear and accessible. Your feedback helps us to further improve this communication. We place empty bottles in every room, which may be filled at the water fountain located on each floor. This allows guests to choose between still and sparkling water.
With our location, facilities, and service, we strive for a stay that is balanced in every respect. We hope that you will give us the opportunity again in the future to offer you an experience at Crowne Plaza Antwerp that meets your expectations even better.
Until next time.
Kind regards,
Crowne Plaza Antwerp Team
