Fabulous little gem

The hotel is in the old town, in a quiet street, very near to everything for sightseeing and for restaurants. The owner is lovely, very kind, attentive and informative. We had room 5 on the top floor which was spacious and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful, everything freshly prepared and eggs boiled to order. Would definitely use this hotel again if we return to Antwerp.

Terrible, dirty, unkempt, LOW!

My stay at this hotel was an absolute imposition and is one of the worst experiences I have ever had.
The room was in a frighteningly unclean condition. There were thick layers of dust everywhere, large, clearly visible cobwebs hung in the corners, and it seemed as if it hadn't been cleaned thoroughly for weeks. Especially disgusting was the bed: Extraneous hair on the bed linen is simply unacceptable and raises serious doubts about hygiene.
A hotel should be a place where you can feel comfortable and relax, here was the exact opposite. Instead, I felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave the room immediately. The room and hotel were under all sow!
For the price and expectations you have of a hotel, this condition is simply intolerable. I absolutely cannot recommend this place and will definitely not come back.

Very very dirty

If you like mold and dust, this is your hotel. Owner is friendly but gave no compensation, but excuses. Don't turn on the air conditioning (if it works at all) because it will blow the black mold over you with all the consequences. Bring earplugs because the sounds of the street and neighbors are easily audible. Breakfast is fine, coffee is possible all day. Bed is old and you can feel the broken springs. Bed linen is clean.

Avoid if you like comfort and cleanliness

Unfortunately this hotel did not deliver on comfort, amenities or cleanliness. The spiral staircase to our room was difficult to navigate and the room itself was dull and lacked any feeling of warmth or comfort. The furnishings were poor quality, and the bathroom was not adequately clean. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, but the breakfast was poor. On a positive note the hotel was well located.

Cozy, quiet, friendly welcome

Cozy hotel in the shadow of the cathedral. Very friendly welcome. We got a spacious room on the street side. Not bothered by street noise. At least one, in our case two steep stairs to climb. Not recommended for people with walking difficulties. Well stocked breakfast buffet.
