To flee

The apartment does not correspond to the offer.
Flooded beach, accessible pool but without privacy, dirty benches and deckchairs.
The exteriors are littered with car carcass, barrels and old swimming pools! To escape if you want to spend a romantic moment

Run away!

Run away! This establishment does not reflect at all the idea given by the photos! The place is fresh. We had rented the apartment. Waste at the foot of the quarry among others. Poor communication with the hosts. We only learned upon arrival that we should not flush ANYTHING down the toilet due to the condition of the pipes.

Not at all as in the photos!!!

Contrary to what we had at the outset was criticized by the owners,
we were well aware that it was a homestay however it is not specified that it is far from the main accommodation. In order to benefit from all the infrastructures (which in the photos are clean, clear and maintained) it is necessary to move and this even if it had not flooded.
The view of the quarry from the apartment is certainly present but spoiled by many detritus (plastic, old pool, barrels,...) and badly lacks maintenance!
The problem of sanitary facilities should be communicated in the document so that everyone can make an informed decision on the suitability of this system.
We also deplore a lack of cleanliness in the accommodation: crumbs on the table upon arrival, strong smell of sewage in the bathroom, dust on some furniture.
Safety standards are not respected: no safety cladding on the patio door leading to the quarry from a significant height, no fire detectors placed (and not in a box at the back of a cabinet) and electricity that is substandard (bare electrical wires in the bathroom, electrical outlets without cover)
Cruel lack of privacy (curtain or blind) through the plausible passage of workers and nurses.
In the description, you stipulate that the kitchen is full equipped but there is no freezer no dishwasher or dish towel. A percolator certainly but which would greatly need to be descaled.
In the bathroom, 2 of the 3 care dispensers are empty!
To tell us that we should have asked all these questions is a nonsense since all these services are noted and/or visible in the photos.
Finally, we were looking forward to this little weekend in what we thought was a haven of peace. The calm was there but a deep disappointment linked to the feeling of having been fooled too.

Acceptable for a over night stop

We booked this place, purely for a over night stop on route to ferry.
Use of the pool and the lake for us to have a evening picnic was a bonus.
We had read the reviews on booking dot com and although had concerns we decided to give it a go but regretted it immediately on arrival.
However our room and bathroom was clean but tired, the door to our room had been smashed, with a bodge fix, the bedding was faded and stained
The pool was nice for a quick swim but the outside area was cluttered, broken fencing, neglected, shabby, long grass with animal poo dotted around.
I don't want to be too harsh with my review because Eric & Celine seemed a nice couple, who are happy to share their home, however I have standards and this fell below it.

Hello Ian,
I see that you have a rather high standard for your status. Especially at the price you got the room, looking at your profile and your various contributions you come across as someone eternally dissatisfied. Especially as the few complaints you have about our vast property are quite difficult to maintain in its entirety every day and at every hour of the day, but if only you had taken the time to discuss this with us you would have known, but we are little people to you, aren't we.
