Our stay at hotel de galaries was excellent primarily due to its staff. Both Rodrigo and David were super friendly and helpful. On more that one occasion they delivered ice buckets to help with my wife’s sprained ankle. They are very responsive as a staff and do what they can to make you feel at home.
The hotel itself is in an excellent location. 5-10mins walk to all major attractions. Plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants with in a 10-15min walk. The rooms are small but that expected in Europe. There was no closet or wardrobe to hang our clothes. My primary issue was we reserved a room with a kind size bed and a balcony but were switched to a suite due to issues with the room. The suite had a shower/tub combo and a set of stairs to the queen bed. We reserved the king bedroom because of the walk in shower and to have a king size bed.
That all being said, the hotel is quite nice and the staff friendly and we would stay there again.

Very helpful staff. Perks like coupons for free ice cream from next door and free choc taste around the corner. Clean room. Huge bathtub, with separate shower and toilet. Great location. Noisy, though.

While the room was very clean, the grout in bath and shower is long overdue for good bleaching. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, there were simply too many other options just outside the door.
There is not any laundry on site, but the staff did have a helpful recommendation for us.
However, I would definitely stay here again. The location was amazing and overall the room and hotel was comfortable/inviting.

This hotel was perfect! It was clean, there was plenty of room, and we felt safe. Not only is the location top notch, the staff is so friendly and helpful! We needed a taxi for the airport, and they took care of getting it scheduled for us. We would definitely stay again!

Creepy dark rooms behind door 15

The location is great. The part of the hotel that serves breakfast is very nice. The rooms shown on the website are nice. Why are there no pictures of the creepy dark rooms behind door 15? I stayed in one of those rooms. I would not stay here again in case I got another one of those rooms.
