A great place to stay great location for site seeing

The site was comfortable and quiet, food was excellent,no rush to get breakfast, relaxed atomspere and the owners are lovely friendly people, ideal for our visits to the Flanders battle fields and military cemeteries Ypres and Poperinge were classic medieval towns even though they were rebuilt after WW1

Top location, top reception and top food

What a great location! You can enjoy it amidst nature, far from the street. We could swim in the large pool and afterwards sunbathe in the huge garden. The domain is so large that we could enjoy on our own, even though the B&B was fully booked when we were there. Bart & Razade are very warm and friendly people. Highly recommended: definitely stay for dinner. Bart is a very good cook!

Give lots of tips on what to do in Heuvelland and surroundings. Recommended!

every thing perfect

This has to be the best b and b in flanders. every thing is perfect. the owners bart (jan) and razade, could,nt be more welcoming the food is amazing because Bart is a professional chef. The location is well off the road so no traffic noise, a converted farm with chickens running around and a vineyard which they make thier own wine, huge area to walk around in. Children are safe more than enough parking and the rooms are oak beamed very clean, and airy. They now have a beautifull indoor swimming pool. They have spent a lot of money on the place. a huge converted barn / dance hall for weddings etc, big open fire place so even at breakfast you are warm. i could not recommend a better place, please try it. i have been many times and will be back, so thank you Bart and Razade

Great food but big lack of cleanliness

The host is an excellent cook: both dinner and breakfast were delicious. It is the reason why my rating is 2 rather than 1.
There is indeed one big negative when staying at this B&B: the overall lack of cleanliness. The rooms were dusty, the toilet floor dirty, the linen smelled mouldy and we weren't even sure the bed linen and the towels had been properly washed.
The garden is also badly mantained and exudes a general impression of disorder and lack of maintenance. The owner hides this well behind a natural charm and kindness but if we hadn't paid in advance, we would have left.
