Great

Upon arrival in Durbuy we had dinner in the restaurant. We opted for the game menu which was super tasty, the staff was also very friendly and highly recommended if you are in Durbuy or near Durbuy. It was great... .

Unfriendly service

After a long walk we just wanted to have a cappuccino in the restaurant, but the waitress walked past us for a long time. After, which seemed endless, she came with the menu and became very unfriendly when we asked if we could only drink coffee, we were in the wrong part of the restaurant, how could we know this? And even if we had known, she could have been a little kinder. We've gone away.

Looks great, taste could be better

The food was volatile. After waiting a long time the starter came and this was super with some of us and others okay. After waiting almost 1.5 hours for the main course, this was a serious setback. The food was cold, the steak that was supposed to be pink was literally just fried shut and therefore almost raw. Also the Sole meunière could still swim in the fat and zero taste.
We wouldn't come here again.

Hartelijk dank dat u de tijd heeft genomen om uw ervaring met ons te delen. Het spijt ons te horen dat uw bezoek niet volledig aan uw verwachtingen voldeed. Wij streven er altijd naar om onze gasten een vlotte en smakelijke maaltijd te serveren, en het is duidelijk dat dit bij uw bezoek niet helemaal gelukt is.
De langere wachttijd tussen het voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht was zeker niet de bedoeling. Soms ontstaan er tijdens drukke momenten onvoorziene vertragingen, en we begrijpen dat dit uw beleving negatief beïnvloed heeft. We nemen uw opmerkingen over de gerechten en de bereiding daarvan zeer serieus en zullen dit gebruiken om onze service verder te verbeteren.
We hopen dat we in de toekomst alsnog de kans krijgen om u een maaltijd en ervaring te bieden die volledig aan uw verwachtingen voldoet.

A top lunch

To start a great day, there's nothing like breakfast where Laurence takes care of her customers with a bright smile in the morning and great care. She ensures that nothing is missing and I have fond memories of her pancakes....thank you Laurence always keeps this smile and this kindness.

Not satisfied with hotel La Calèche in Durbuy

Not at all satisfied with our stay. Everything looked very nice and beautiful on their website, but the opposite was true for our room:
- the walls under the skylight were covered in mold!
- there was also mold on the woodwork of the small window
- there was a large spider web in the skylight
- there was a very strange and unpleasant smell in the room
- there was a lot of noise from the outside ventilation system (from the kitchen?) so we couldn't open the window to get rid of the smell
When checking out, the hotel employee said that she could not apply a discount herself but that her boss would call back for a compensation, but no one called back despite a reminder email to their information address. :-(
Fortunately we had only booked for 1 night, but they will never see us here again.
