Great place to stay. The location, room, and staff were all excellent. I wish I could have stayed longer, when I come back to Ghent, I will definitely stay here again.
My room felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel room, a lovely courtyard, large room, and jacuzzi with a skylight were unexpected and made my stay feel special. I highly recommend this hotel.

We booked through Expedia because we don’t do Airbnb‘s and funky listings. Nowhere on the front of the listing did it say check-in cut off time was at 5:30 PM. We were on the train for six hours and got there at 6:05. We were unable to get a hold of the hotel and Expedia was able to get a hold of them while we sat outside for an hour waiting. They would not help us or accommodate us, we went back the next day and the guy at the front door claimed he doesn’t work for them, and he wouldn’t help us either. We were still charged for the hotel even though we didn’t stay there. We have tried multiple times to get a hold of the hotel by phone and it ends up hanging up on us. Customer service is not good and I would not recommend staying with this hotel.

For short stays

Comfortable room, very spacious and very well located in the center of Ghent. We stayed in the Congo room, with a very original leopard decoration. Equipped with fridge, coffee maker, kettle...Negative points: spiral staircase not accessible for people with reduced mobility. They don't make your room, if the stay is short and you're clear... great

Very querky as its not a hotel as such but behind a travel agency.
Our room was across a bridge over a pond and the room was a mezzanine with a large jacuzzi bath upstairs with a glass ceiling to see the stars.
The bar in the cellar made for great entertainment as it was busy and spilled out into the street.
The 9pm hug was different.
