Wonderful place

Searched for a "hiding" place for our dogs, who are very affraid of the fireworks in the Netherlands. My partner left the US 3 years ago to live with me in the Netherlands and she enjoyed it very much. The old western style is great. The location is perfect, La Roche, Bastogne and Foy are closeby. The last 2 places are wellknown from WOII and filmed for "Band of Brothers".
The breakfast was really good, with fresh bread from the local bakery and lots of meat, cheese and sweets to put on it.
Also the dogs loved it, to be in the same room with the whole family!
We will definitely go back in spring and/or autumn

Below my expectations

I was surprised to have read a lot of good reviews and the reality which differed from my expectations.
It’s a beautiful setting, the decor is warm, but that’s not all.
Permanent smell of cold cigarettes in the restaurant area and at reception.
No sound insulation between the rooms and the corridor.
The quality of the meals is quite amazing. For a spaghetti bolo, I got a lot of pasta, big balls of bad mince and I had to look for the tomato sauce!
Aldi breakfast with coffee that tastes like water.
It's a shame because the initial plan is nice but I think there was a bit of slackness which made me personally have a bad stay.

Terrific hosts, clean rooms, dog friendly - a bit noisy!

We stayed here for two nights, based on the reasonable price and the dog-friendly policies. Our dog appreciated being treated like family - she got to walk around off leash, and met two new doggie friends.
The rooms were spacious and clean, but basic - you need to bring your own necessities such as soap, shampoo, hair dryer.
The continental breakfast was filling, and fresh - breads, meats and yoghurt. For an additional fee, a cooked breakfast is provided - it was ample and yummy! Their Saturday night BBQ hit the spot.
Although clearly part of the unique selling point of the way station way of life, when the hotel is at full occupancy it is a bit noisy - you can hear the people in the next room talk, shower, blow their nose, etc.
The best parts of the hotel are the hosts - they clearly love what they do, and the entire family was very personable.

Welcoming and reliable!

We have stayed here for the last five years for the Belgium Grand Prix and would not stay anywhere else. The rooms are large and clean with comfy beds and good bathrooms. Downstairs there is the bar which serves drinks and lovely home cooked food. The welcome here is always good and we have enjoyed many chats with Kid, Annie and family about local life. Would highly recommend..we will be returning for a sixth visit!

What a great find, something different....

We  stayed at Willow Springs for a single night stopover on our way to Croatia. It’s a lovely recently built wooden chalet with a number of rooms. The rooms are a decent size, very clean and comfortable. There’s a bar and outside seating area, the whole place has a wild west theme and there are some really interesting pieces, our son particularly liked the ‘shxx house’ sign above the toilet and still laughs about it now!
The price is very sensible and the owners are fantastic, genuinely nice, friendly and helpful, this really does make a nice change from the usual boring non-descript hotels that are out there.
