Was A Mistake Booking, BUT It Was A Great Mistake Booking...But...

(Sorry for taking so long to post this. My M.S. has taken a painful turn.)
I'm going to start with the great parts of our stay.
The "Front of House" staff were 1000% the best. Very helpful, full of advice, and super polite.
The desk staff did explained after we went back down from our room, and told them there was a problem. That's when they told us, THAT there was a problem with housekeeping.
On the bad part of the stay (I don't usually do this).
"But" was because of the housekeeping.
When we got our room, and went in. Yes, it did look clean etc upon entering, but (yes that
"but" is back) after we came back from a little walk around the area near the hotel.
I spotted the bedside table on my side, was dusty. And after my hubby had his shower, the whole floor of the bathroom was like a mini Lake Michigan. He did have the shower mat down, but (yes, it's back), the sealant on the glass shower guard bottom was missing. We dried the floor with both bath towels (glad I had a bath beforehand).
And hang them out to dry.
Being too tired to report the sealant problem at the time (will report in the morning).
We went to bed. My hubby slept ok, but I didn't. The bed was too hard, and it really needed a mattress topper. Had to take some painkillers to help my back and get some sleep.
In the morning after having breakfast, we went to the desk to report (one of the non-sealant on the shower guard, and ask for a mattress topper for my bed).
This was when we were told about the housekeeping problems, and our problems would be sorted out by the time we came back for the day. (From a super nice female member of staff, sorry didn't get her name.)
Ummmm NOT!!. No towels charged, no mattress topper, and no sealants .
So we went back down, was told a evening member of the housekeeping will pop up. And he did get clean towels. No-no on the sealant, and in the end, after a good try (thank you ), it was a no-no on the mattress topper.
He left, BUT (yes, another but) our new man of the moment "B" (who had checked us in when we arrived). Had come up to see if everything was ok . We told him clean towels check, but the other two were not , plus we told him that the door to the room opposite was still open, aka unlocked since we checked in.
So he went to check the unlocked room, and I know maybe he shouldn't have, but he went out and asked if having another duvet (acting as a mattress topper would help. He was so worried about me not being able to sleep (thank you ), and said let me try.
BEST night sleep ever!!
Gave an update to the super nice female staff member, and asked her to tell housing keeping NOT to remove the extra duvets and see about the sealant. She was super nice said sure, and told me to update her in the morning.
To cut a very, very long story short, the duvet was removed, nothing was done with the sealants, and cleaning .
We worked around the rest of the week, with our two super nice front of house staff (the super nice lady and "B"), cheering us up.
We were told that housekeeping will be replaced by September /October.
So in the end (fingers crossed), all the problems will be sorted out.
Ok, in the end, the front of house staff were 1000"% great!!!
Housekeeping (not going to be rude!)
The hotel stay was great, AND we will come back.

Nice location, can easily walk around the town. Food nice in the hotel, nice to have fresh orange juice at reception. Reception staff helpful and quickly resolved an issue I had.

Nice location, super staff but boring rooms

The location is great, very central! The ski bar is nice with fantastic views over the city.
The food in the restaurant was tasteful and the service, despite a number of challenges, tried very hard! But the rooms are boring and the hygiene was a bit disappointing in some areas.

Aged, the rooftop bar is fantastic.

The hotel has a very good location with a well-connected public parking garage. The rooftop bar is fantastic, and you do not have to be a hotel guest to enjoy it. The rooms are aged, and the water pressure in the shower is insufficient. Overall, one gets the impression that the hotel is wearing out. The service staff is friendly, but not appropriate for a 4-star establishment.

Very satisfied

Only bathroom was outdated. A lot of limescale on the shower wall and the rubber band had lasted. Really not clean. The step in to take a shower is way too high. Which makes it unsafe.
This was really a minus for us.

Excellent location
