Perfect

Perfect ! At any point of view . The warm welcome from the attentive owner, the bucolic and calm setting, the romantic room. Special mention for the timeless bathroom. very filling and varied breakfast. No complaints . I recommend this establishment

Terrible, decay and unsanitary

NEVER book this stay. The photos are completely old and this property is completely in disrepair. The windows are full of mold, they are still undergoing so-called “renovation” but I read from previous reviews that it has been going on for months, and meanwhile the wallpaper hangs off the walls, there is dirt everywhere in the garden, the taps full of green lime / corrosion, cobwebs, water in the pump tank did not run through. They charge €20 per dog, but the windows of our room could not / barely open (the bathroom was not allowed to open) so we could not breathe. There is also never anyone from the reception and check-in is via codelock like student rooms without any service. Bed smells musty and forests NEVER wanted to sleep. FYI: We have filed a complaint via Booking.com and have been proven right and internally there is a procedure from the Quality Team for unhygienic. We left immediately and will NEVER come back here. Never had such disappointment.

Disappointed

We had planned our visit with many expectations, but unfortunately the reality turned out not to match the photos on the website.
Even before we arrived at the front door, the building exuded a chilly and neglected impression. It is clearly an old building with a lot of character and potential, but it is completely lacking in maintenance. The entrance looked unkempt and the whole thing even looked a bit ramshackle.
Unfortunately we didn't get the chance to enjoy the summer terrace and were led to a dark, chilly room inside. We sat there all alone for the first thirty minutes. Only then did one other couple join the hall, which did not exactly improve the atmosphere.
The food was fortunately a bright spot. Both the starter and the main course were nicely prepared and beautifully presented on colorful plates. However, we regretted that we were obliged to choose the menu, without the possibility to order à la carte.
The dining area itself is in dire need of a thorough restoration. The wallpaper hung loose in several places, the fabric seats were visibly dirty and there were an awful lot of flies that kept disturbing us during dinner. That made the experience anything but pleasant.
All in all, this was a disappointment. The website paints a very different picture than what you find on site. However, with a little more attention to maintenance, hygiene and atmosphere, this location could reclaim much of its charm.

Substandard

Reserved for Deluxe breakfast 10 pers. The welcome was very friendly and pleasant. It was cold, not cozy. The breakfast itself was substandard. The sandwiches were all bake off. Bread as stated on the website we have not received. Butter was not there but after questions received anyway. ‘Egg of your choice ‘ according to website but in reality no choice and we got a cold, hard boiled egg that was not freshly cooked when everyone was already finished eating !!!!!.
Certainly not worth repeating and embarrassing to our guests!

A B&B with character

A b&b with a very exceptional character where time has stood still. Everything is correct. Friendly owners, tasty food, excellent breakfast. Good beds, lovely bath.
One minus. We had initially made a reservation for August, but due to illness with doctor's evidence this could not go ahead. It was a week before we were supposed to go. The manager was kind enough to allow a refund as we were too late to cancel the booking. But we had to pay 150 euros extra for this, despite the fact that the rooms were rented back and we spent almost 600 euros on site in December.
Despite a wonderful stay and with the intention to go back again, the imposition remains a bit bitter.
