A wonderful place for families.

It is an excellent place for families—fun, cozy, and packed with activities, parking, and well-equipped houses. I booked for four people but was given a unit for six, featuring six beds and three bedrooms instead of two; they are truly generous. The water park area is amazing, as are the lake, restaurants, and cafes. The service was pleasant and smooth; this was my second visit to Sunparks Oostende. I am delighted that such places exist in Belgium, though I do wish there were a bit more attention paid to the greenery around the house and along the walkways.

Outdated, lack of comfort and hygiene. Don’t do it just to save money!

Very low comfort, even for the price.
Accommodations are extremely outdated, run down, dirty, even smelly.
I’m having the worst sleep of my life, bed is unbelievably uncomfortable, I’m counting hours until the morning comes.
Swimming area is fun, they are doing their best to keep it clean, but it’s also rather old and rundown as well.
Beach/lake is cute, water looks clear and clean but unfortunately no swimming is aloud “out of the season”..?? (It’s end august/beginning september)
In the common areas, such as restaurant, kids play area, etc they are also doing their best to keep it clean, but it’s just outdated. Staff is friendly, food very average.
This place screams for a renovation! I can’t wait for my vacation to be over due to the comfort and hygene of living area, and that is an unfortunate feeling. Will not be returning or recommending to anyone.

Very disappointing

The park was dirty. We had the "luck" of admiring the bags of sheets from the houses that had been cleaned littering the ground of the park for 2 days... No employees in the park to make remarks to people going swimming in the lake; leaving their trash and dog waste or making noise until inappropriate hours. The accommodation was dirty upon our arrival. Pillows were missing. The dishwasher drawer was broken. The cabinet doors were barely holding on. Very little light in the house (impossible to read a book in bed, for example). House rented for 8 people but ABSOLUTELY not suitable for 8 people. There were only 6 of us and we had trouble eating all together at the dining room table! Not to mention the almost non-existent terrace. It was even impossible for us to set up the table so that we could all eat together outside. The upstairs bathroom (intended for the 6 people staying upstairs) had NO shelves or cabinets. Impossible to put away one's toiletries. As for towels, there was only one tiny bar and 2 hooks (for 6!). The upstairs shower sat on a 40cm step. Going up it was fine. But coming down, once wet and with some people having difficulty moving, it was a challenge. Not enough electrical outlets either. With 6 people, so 6 cell phones, + hearing aids to charge, we really had to be patient. A fridge barely big enough for 1 couple (hardly 2 shelves) (in a rental for 8 people, need I remind you?).... The bathtub in the downstairs bathroom had a hole just patched up with silicone sealant. It must have certainly been leaking from underneath, given the mold on the edge of the bathtub. The pool is nice but dilapidated. They try to keep it clean, but there is too little staff for them to succeed. Experience more than disappointing given the price of the rental. They won't catch me there again!

Great!

We had been there with a couple of friends and their children. The accommodations are nice, well-equipped, enough space, the pool is really great, we had a lot of fun and so did the kids! An indoor play area as well. Small mini-market and small shops, bowling alley, etc. It was very nice!

First thoroughly renovate I would say

We were in an exclusive cottage but the cottages are really in need of renewal, way too dated, shop in park way too high prices, pool is also in need of a refurbishment, staff very friendly and helpful at the reception. Photo cottage renovated on the left , cottage on the right not, clear difference
