Mostly very pleasant

It was good location, but for example they wanted my real Credit card, this practise is very outdated, and unsecure. The hairdrier was old and got very hot.

An unforgettable family stay

An absolutely unforgettable family weekend in this magnificent historic establishment. Everything was perfect, from our arrival until our departure! The location of the castle is a true privilege: perched at the top of the citadel, it benefits from a peaceful environment, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, while remaining easily accessible and close to the center. The cable car is only a few minutes away on foot and easily accessible. The breathtaking view of the city is simply magnificent, especially at nightfall. The room was clean and cozy, although a bit dull and could use a little freshening up, but it remains very comfortable. The cable car is only a few minutes away on foot. The parking lot was undergoing renovation, which was more of a nuisance for photos than for parking since we were able to park easily all around the castle. Access is free and secure, and charging stations are available.
The meals at the restaurant, with a stunning view of the city, were a true moment of pleasure. Each dish was prepared with care and finesse. Special mention for the lobster, absolutely exquisite, perfectly cooked and enhanced by the talent of the kitchen. At €48 for the 3-course menu, the price is very reasonable for this type of high-end establishment with more than attentive service. A real cheese cart with a vast selection is offered in place of dessert. Exquisite! The head waiter, particularly pleasant and attentive, took my comments regarding my allergies well into account. His food and wine pairings were subtly chosen. He also seated us at the best table in the restaurant both evenings and served us the best Irish Coffees we have ever tasted! The breakfast is excellent and made up of fresh, local products. From the smoked salmon to the eggs cooked to order just the way we wanted, it was a real treat to start the day off right! The Château is also a training school, and it is a very beautiful experience to see the students develop in such a prestigious setting, supervised by true professionals in the field. In the kitchen as well as in the dining room, the learners show remarkable professionalism, with sometimes hesitant attention but a real desire to please the guests. The work is done as a team and contributes to the friendly atmosphere of the place: the teaching servers regularly hold informative "briefings" with their students and do not always have time to be present at the bar, but in those cases a charming receptionist ensures that we do not wait and takes over.
It is, by the way, a real favorite: The receptionist is undeniably the icing on the (ch)âteau! Endowed with natural charm and an endearing spontaneity, he knew how to transform the ordinary moment of a mundane check-in into an almost memorable instant! Very elegant with his bow tie, he immediately brings an elegant and original touch upon arrival. Their genuine kindness, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate our every need elevated this simple stay into an unforgettable human and hospitality experience. The check-out with the young lady was a bit more laborious and a bit less warm but remained simple and just as professional. An address that we highly recommend: an elegant, warm place full of beautiful values. A perfect balance between charm, gastronomy, serenity, and exceptional hospitality. We will return with great pleasure!
A huge THANK YOU to the whole team!

A hotel from another era.

Room that should be updated with wallpaper from another time and a not very clean bathroom.
On the other hand, a restaurant that is worth the detour and has impeccable service is worth revisiting.
